That is actually even tougher for Rickster.

Ray doesn't have much finesse about him but he's big and strong with a capital S.

I had Rocky taking that one for its worth, hardly a robbery like the Burgos fight

He can take strong, funnily enough its finesse he stuggles with

edit: and its better than Bogere who Beltran was robbed against IMO

Not as bad as the Burgos or Magdaleno screw-ups, but still a case of the wrong man getting the nod IMO.

Martinez has been treated like the wee baby Jeepers on Christmas of 1AD ever since hooking up with TR.

The last time he deserved a hand raise on points was 2008.

I do think he has lost that edge, he once looked a very dangerous man, and yes while he was always on the crude side, I feel that a blind man could see his punches coming now, its all so very telegraphed and deliberate and quite frankly, very "I couldn't be bothered".

But I still think he took the Beltran fight

Burgos was robbed blind though, no doubt

    How about Magdaleno?

IMO it's smack between them - were you to put up a "ten scale" of severity of robberies, I'd say Martinez vs. Beltran was a scant 2 or even 1, barely fit to be called one (I personally scored it for Miguel but it was indeed very close and fair enough you saw it the other way) while Burgos more a solid 9. Martinez vs. Magdaleno perhaps a 5? I only had three points splitting them, 115-112 to Diego the Dago, but he did outbox Rocky pretty clearly in the ones I gave him so there isn't much budge room.

I can see that for sure, you see with me, I don't score rounds on a live fight, simply because I like to enjoy it real time, but I did get the feeling Magdaleno was countering him like **** during a lot of the rounds, like I said, Rocky is pretty ****ing deliberate and easy to read, and yes, I can definately see someone scoring it for him, I thought Rockys strength may have taken its toll on that fight not forgetting the knockdown, but fights are scored RbR and perhaps I should watch it again and score it properly

I do fear for Rocky if they match him up with Mikey Garcia, he doesn't have the killer instinct anymore to keep Mikey off him

Definitely. :thumbsup The whole card is worth another checking out, bar the farcical "main event".

Estrada vs. Viloria was great, and Ishimoto vs. Vazquez is still eye-opening.

Oh, MAG would gobble him and spit him out in dribs and drabs like tobacco.

You'll really need to be full-blown elite to bother that kid on the form he's on now.

Definately, kids a killer, BUT, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say I don't think he stops Rocky

Now that may sound stupid, but Rocky, for all of his faults, is one of the hardest nuts in boxing, and he HAS one of the hardest nuts(heads) in boxing, hey, maybe even if Mikey starts beating him up proper, then Rocky might wake up and come alive, you never know

I could be wrong but I don't think Mikey stops Martinez, beat him up sure, but stop him, I say no
