just watched vazquez's latest fight. i think this is the fight for burns. a good opportunity to clinch the IBF title. vazquez has good footwork but his defense is **** and he's a sucker for the left hook. burns would take him out.

i think he should stay away from broner at the mo. maybe till the price is right, cos as much as i hate the ****er he is the next world star of boxing.

most seem to think it is the fight for Burns. If it is viewed as easier than Broner then it sure as **** will be the fight for him. I think its time to put Burns in there agains the best. We all think he is a legit world champ and have done for a while but its time to go for unification.

Kevin Mitchell, Michael Katsidis, Paulus Moses
3 fights at LW, all top 10 opponents.
He is in the top tier of lightweights in the world along with DeMarco and Vazquez.

I would favor Burns over Vazquez, but would pick Broner to soundly defeat him. I'd love to see either of them.

I saw nothing from Vasquez to worry me.He throws a lot of arm punches and didn't look as rangy as I thought he was,and Ricky does seem to take a while to get to grips with rangy fighters.
At this point I want to see how Broner does against Demarco at the new weight.I said a while back that I thought Broner beats Ricky but I'll abstain from that at the moment.

DeMarco is different.I think Ricky could easily outbox him but Demarco is dangerous for 12 rounds, has a tough chin and powerful southpaws can be extra hard work in the late stages of a tough fight.
Still have Ricky by a whisker.

Strange how before Saturday most people had Vasquez well out in front as the #1.
