    Here our the RING Magazines rankings at Super Featherweight

    1 - Mzonke Fana
    2 - Ricky Burns
    3 - Roman Martinez
    4 - Takashi Uchiyama
    5 - Juan Carlos Salgado
    6 - Jorge Solis
    7 - Jorge Linares
    8 - Takahiro Aoh
    9 - Argenis Mendez
    10 - Jason Litzau

    Although they are completely wrong (Uchiyama should be No.1) Frank Warren should make Burns vs Fana in Glasgow for the lineal title.

    I believe he would be Scotlands only ever lineal and unified world champion.

    I agree 100%, Warren need to prove that he cares about Burns as much as his English fighters. After last nights fight Burns needs to show people he is a real champion and even if he loses there no shame in losing to a good fighter. At the very least he needs to be fighting someone in that top 5 with a unification at some point next year.

    But aren't the South African's not still engaged in swapping the IBF belt around the population, so that every household in the country gets to put it above their mantlepiece for a few days?

    its got **** all to do with english fighters and wether he cares etc ... :roll:

    he will treat burns like any other fighter and do what he thinks is well money wise

    beat Salgado who took Linares apart. I thought Linares was the no.1 at the time. has since put together the most defences of any of the champions and has been impressive doing it.

    Lets be real he would of stopped Evenson

    Linares was no way no.1, he was just getting a lot of hype but hadn't really beaten anyone of note apart from an old Larios.

    I wouldn't have ranked Linares number 1 based on his wins at the weight (you also had Soto, Guerrero in the division at that time). And Salgado really hasn't had any fights since to prove that his win against Linares wasn't him just catching Linares cold. Plus, there are no other world level wins on Uchiyama's record at the moment.

    Uchiyama can be debated as the number 1 in the division, but it's not conclusive.

    Soto and Guerrero had there last fights at the weight prior to Linares loss to Salgado. So Linares, and then Salgado were the number 1 in the division by default.

    Salgado's first fight after Linares was Uchyama who has since gone in to retain his title and no stand out fighter has come into the division.

    If he isn't number 1 who is??

    If any of the 4 champs unified, the winner would be the number 1, but I think it would be unfair for the winner of Burns vs Fana to call themselves the "true" champion.

    I think Burns should stay active, another fight in April next year or perhaps early May. A WBO defence. Then perhaps the unification with Fana. He deserves to make money. No-one wants to see him lose and no-one wants a dangerous WBO mandatory for him at the moment.

    He's a world champion now though, so we don't want to see unworthy match-ups and one-sided contests either.
