Realistically I think Khan takes it at this stage. The man has beaten Kotelnik, Maidana, Maglinaggi, Judah I'd favour him to add Burns to that list The way people talk about Khan you'd think he was worse than the fighters he beat.
I'd take Khan to put rounds in the bank with flurries of shots but I personally think Burns is only going to improve...and he looked massive last night
I like Ricky he's an honest lad and a hard worker. But it's as I say people remember you for your last fight, Khan is still the same fighter who beat those above. I guess Ricky could try the tactics that Peterson used pun intended. But theres a difference in looking big against Mitchell and looking big against a big light welter and Petersen also hits harder than Burns im pretty sure of that. I just think it's spur of the moment stuff, let's see Khan in december if he looks good against a top 10 guy then all Khan polls will be very different. you know how it goes
Khan coming off his loss and so people's estimation of him goes way down, Burns fresh from a great win only last night and people's estimations of him go way up. Lets let the dust settle and answer this objectively because threads like don't make for accurate predictions. Saying that - Ricky Burns is bigger than Khan and isn't the sort of style that Khan's fast hands work great against as he won't be able to pick Burns off like a smaller fighter. Very interesting to me that this fight could actually happen, given how much people were writing Burns off saying he wouldn't even win a british title a few years ago meanwhile khan was being touted as a future half of famer. It's a funny old world.
I'd have to favour Khan, but Ricky's come on sensationally. I could see him grabbing a title at LWW when some of the top guys move up.
I don't see Burns being successful at Light Welterweight right now as the talent and depth is pretty deep. I think he is a Lightweight and a brilliant one at that a proven again on Saturday.
Khan's struggled with pressure fighters and Burns isn't quite like that. As it stands, Khan on points probably
would love to see this fight. Would love to see Burns win. But I would have to favour Khan. 65-35 fight in favour of Khan imo.
True, but he was clearly worse than the fighters that beat him, and that isn't saying much. As things stand at the moment I would have Burns beating Khan.
