He was toiling to make the weight well before he fought Martinez. Are you suggesting he should've gone to America and fought what will probably be his toughest opponent when he was clearly suffering to make weight and would be lucky to be at 70% of his best?
Now people are saying he's a big lightweight. All these armchair promoters that don't have a clue about the problems that making weight brings:roll:
If he avoids him at 135,then you'll have something to ***** about. And was it perfectly acceptable for Broner to come in overweight in his last fight?
Of course it was,but only because it's Broner.

I think all the black kids in the general who say "Broner would never have lost on his way up to ham and eggers like Arthur and Johanesson" probably have not seen the Quintera fight

Burns and Cleverly need to start the process of departing ways with Frank, right now as we speak Match Room Promotions are in a much better spot for securing the type of fights both men are looking for

Frank's reputation is in tatters, the sooner the better fighters in his stable begin to move, he's out of the picture which can only be good for all of us

The problem may be the contracts, clearly we dont know the complexities of the contracts but if these two were not tied down one would suspect they'd be off!, then there is the fact Cleverly and Burns are earning decent coin for what could be perceived as easy fights (more so Cleverly than Burns IMO).

Frank looks really nervous when he gets interviewed about Burns now, because EVERYONE from the interviewer to the man himself is asking for the big fights, Burns made sure that the Ring magazine knew that was the belt he wanted

The question needs to be asked by both Ricky and Nathan, if they dont ask the question there doing themselves and in justification

Depending on what motivates them ofcourse :yep

well people say Burns is too nice to make a fuss, but I think his desire to reach the top will eventually outweigh that, he did mention in the past that he got stick for his superfeather defences, and that he wants to stop all that nonsense and fight the big guns, this was just before the katsidis fight I believe. More and more now he's been saying out loud he wants the Ring belt, he wants a unification, Frank can see this and is running out of excuses. Burns is well aware of the criticism he got for those defences and he doesn't want it again.

I think if, after the december fight, Frank tries to give Burns another gimme, Burns will be seriously pissed off and want some words.

Well if Fish eyes doesnt give Burns what he wants then burns eyes shall open. fish eyes knows Burns wants to unify and get the ring belt, so he knows hes either gotta delivers or be asked some serious questions and possibly lose burns as one of his fighters.

No shame to losing to Arthur, just goes to show that the guys who say it don't know what they are talking about in the first place and are being totally fooled by the ghetto talk and ridiculous hype surrounding any black prospect.

And Ricky put up a very good show against Arthur given that it was quite early on and Arthur was tipped for much better things than Ricky was.
He did well in that fight.

Thanks for the heads up Flea Man, and after watching? Broners right hand was lightning after he blinded Litzau with the left, & the left hook right uppercut finish was frightening. Hmm. I need to watch more of this guy, as its looking likely Burns will face him if he comes through his next fight. Cant pretend I wasnt impressed though... but 1st round KO's always do!(heres me pawing for positives already):D

It was impressive but Litzau ain't that good that Broner deserves the praise he's receiving from some.

Yep I think Broner could be a bit hype ( compared to Floyd etc ) but I don't think he's a total hype job which somebody posted ( saying he was a Jeff Lacy lol ) .Watching the Litzau fight Burns Martinez came to mind as well when Burns got dropped in the first .

why the **** do people keep bringing up the quintera fight as validation that broner ISNT the real deal

not a single fighter alive today that hasnt underperformed at some point in the early days of there careers

its about the here and now that matters and how anyone can say broner hasnt looked like a superstar in the makings in his last few outings is beyond me :patsch
