We all see the emotion that all of us put in the sport of boxing. Is there anyone else in this forum believe that this "dream" fight of Money vs. Pac-Man has been somewhat already in the making, and the only ones getting worked up are the fans? Floyd thrives on being the most hated. He's made boatloads of money by people paying to hopefully see him lose. His vacation and sporadic appearances and drug testing issues make him hated even more. Manny has blown through all of his opponents with ease thus making Floyd even more important. Manny die-hards I'm sure don't mind his fights regardless of his opponents, and his real fans will keep buying his fights. But after last night, whatever they were going to pay Floyd and Manny before in their negotiations, they should hopefully go back to the table again and increase their initial offers. Between all the sponsorships the fighters will get, plus PPV buys, this would most definitely surpass any fight ever. Manny's win, and even Floyd's inactivity just at least doubles their market value. The division isn't as strong as perceived. Part of me thinks that these guys knew back in late 2009 and 2010 that this fight would happen in 2012. And between now and then, there has been nothing but pure hatred between Manny die-hards and Floyd die-hards. Both of these guys are great at what they do; box and sell tickets. On another note, everyone fights leftovers. Mosley was Floyd's leftovers. Margarito was Mosely's leftovers. Berto is now Ortiz leftovers. Williams is Martinez leftovers. Who cares. No matter who they fight, there's gonna be people who don't like it. But in the end, who else is left for Floyd to fight besides Manny and who else is there for Manny to fight besides Floyd? If this August or September warm up fight happens for Floyd, whoever he fights won't be popular unless it's Manny.
