You all speak too soon. Wait until Floyd speaks before you pass judgement.

We don't know what's in the contract. For all we know it is completely unfavoribital to Mayweather. If it is a bad contract there is no readon for him to sign, and no one should blame him for not signing.
Lets for a second assume that it is indeed a good contract. Lets say Pacquiato fights and easily beats Margrito or Cotto in November. Than Pacquiao retires from boxing. This would be the worst case serniro for Mayweather. From a P.R. stand point.
    It looks bad doesn't.
It is not as bad as it sounds.
First while a fight with Pacquiao would get more exposiour and result in more money than any other match up. There are still good fights out there for Mayweather. Some due to the style and Mayweather having to move up in weigth to face them. Are very likely to be bigger chalenges to Mayweather. Martinez would deffently be harder fight than Pacquiao. Williams is also a name that comes up. If Williams used his Jab and his reach more he would beat Mayweather. There other opitions for Mayweather as well He should beat them easier than Pacquiao.
There is Breto Who is the WBC champion at 147. He's a guy Mayweather should easily beat. He dose hold a belt at 147 though. He's a good boxer slightly underrated.
Bradley, Alexander or Kahn could all come up from 140.
Style and size wise Foreman when healthy may be his tougest chalenge but he's a Top Rank boxer so it is very unlikely that Arum will match him up with Mayweather or any Top Rank boxer so that leaves out Cotto and Margrito as well.
Speaking of Cotto and Margritto. They are suposed to be Pacquiao's next oppoent.
Cotto, The good is that he is comming off a very good win. Granted Foreman was hurt going into the fight. He is a very good boxer. Cotto got the win he was the better boxer that night.
The bad: He and Pacquiao already fought. It wasn't close. Pacquiao won easily. Can you really sell a rematch for such a one sided fight?
Margritto, the good: He has impresive wins over Cintron X2 and Cotto. and Clottey.
The bad: He lost to Williams and Mosley. When he lost to Mosley they found something wrong with his wraps. This makes one wonder about those wins, also how could a guy with loaded gloves lose those fights?
Pacquiao will either be facing someone who he beat easily or a cheater. Neather is good for him.
Mayweather has another card to play. That card is more fights.
Lets say he fights Breto next. I think that this is his most likely fight. Lets say that he wins in an easy manner as he should. After that He Moves up to 154 and fights and beats Williams and Martinez. After that he moves up to 160 and beats the champion at that weight.
If he dose this or something like this. The Events of July 2010 will be long forgoten, or at least not seem as bad as they may appear now.

It's going to be hard to recoup from this.

Today alone at least 4 stations(Foxsports, ESPN, ABC7 and Telemundo) accused
    Floyd of straight out ducking.

Only way he might get out of this is by making the fight before Manny's next opponent has signed the dotted line.

Bull****. If he don't fight manny expect a big fight to happen. Martinez, Berto, Williams, Bradley are all interesting bouts.

Montoya from Maxboxing said that Floyd asked about facing the Mosley/Mora winner. It wouldn't shock me, this from the same guy who considered fighting Matthew Hatton earlier this year.

Get your head out of your ass and face reality.

Floyd-by his own accounts- is all about money and he refused to step up for the biggest purse in his life do you actually think he'll take on a bigger challenge for less money.

He didn't refuse to do ****

The sooner you realise arum don't call the shots the sooner you will understand floyd does things at his own pace. Like a ***** you waiting for an answer, so i ask you who is the BOSS.

Floyd knows exactly what he's doing.

Like spud1 says, he will still sign and agrees to Pacquiao's challenge.

I can't imagine a better way of getting back "better" after this PR disaster. When i say better, bradley and paul williams isn't really a "better" way of bouncing back in a business stand-point (higher risk, lesser money).

    You are in denial .

You can't negotiate business at your own pace. Floyd is a businessman and he knows other people have their own schedule too. Floyd knows what he did.

Jeff Mayweather has inside information you don't have.

He said pac didn't agree to random blood testing with no cut off date, which is why the fight isn't taking place.

Sorry Al Haymon has better grounds when it comes to business of FMJ. Jeff don't know ****.

Al Haymon isn't denying that he gave a go to Ross to start drafting the terms verbally agreed into a contract. A "go" from FMJ means, the terms of testing protocols and others like purse split isn't an issue.
