I fancy Bowe to break buster down en route to a late round ko in this battle of the one fight wonders.

Two largely unproven heavyweights who took their shot when they received it but never kept the momentum going.

Bowe dominated holyfield on the inside whereas busters dominated mike on the outside.

I find it highly unlikely that buster could keep bowe at range. Could buster replicate the holyfield tactics from the second bowe fight? That isn't too inprobable but it would require a lot of heart and focus, something which the buster in question did display.

I'm gonna favour bowe by late stoppage.

How is Bowe unproven??? He was the undisputed champion that beat Holyfield two of three times, fought him razor close in the third, defended his title two times regained the WBO title and retired with one loss on his record. Douglas was a one hit wonder who caught Tyson sleeping and lost to fringe contenders. Bowe would beat Douglas 10 out of 10 times.

Buster's victory over tyson is better than any victory of bowe's.

Buster's victories over berbick, mccall and page are arguably as good as any other victories of bowe's bar holyfield.

Buster's loss to tucker is applicable to bowe's beatdowns to golota.

Bowe was never dominated as buster was against holyfield.

The two are as proven as each other with bowe showing a better chin imo.

The reason I call bowe unproven is that in an era of holyfield, tyson, lewis, foreman and holmes he fought only the real deal. His next best opponent was golota who smacked him about like no tomorrow.

Maybe I rate him higher than you, I dunno, but I expected a lot more from a man with his talents.

Your last sentence is stupid, btw.

Your whole post is stupid and incorrect BTW. Douglas lost to Jesse Ferguson, he lost to Mike White, he lost to Tony Tucker, he lost to David Bey. He drew with Stefan Tangstad. He lost horribly to Evander Holyfield who shortly after was beaten by Riddick Bowe. All those losses are worse than Bowes two wins against Golota. Bowe's victory over a prime well tuned Evander Holyfield eclipses Douglas win over a disinterested undertrained Mike Tyson not factoring in the "upset" factor.

What did I say which is deemed incorrect?

I know about buster's career, this is why he isn't a great hw.

I'm comparing the top victories of the two.

As I said, I probably just rate bowe higher than you which explains my disappointment with his career.

Beating prime tyson > beating prime holyfield.

Either way your statement that bowe beats douglas 10 out of 10 is meaningless.

I think bowe stops douglas late, how do you see the fight panning out?

Douglas was a good fighter, but Bowe was better and the one thing that separated them was Bowe was able to win wars time and time again. Douglas wasnt in much of a war with Tyson certainly not on the level of Bowe Holyfield. For the most part the fight was on his terms. When it wasnt, he always lost, where Bowe always won. And Douglas wins over Berbick and Mcall were nothing special. Berbick was washed up, Mcall was green as grass and never really that good.

Unless i've missed an obvious name i'd say bowe's next best victories are seldon and hide. Neither are beyond comparison with berbick and mccall.

All i'm saying is the top 4 victories of each man are evenly matched. Considering the talent and frame bowe had and the era he fought in, it shouldn't even be close.

By 95 bowe should have scored victories over lewis, holy, foreman, holmes and moorer. By 96 he should have been still undisputed champ defending against the comebacking iron mike in what could well be his career defining fight. Retiring at the point and he's easily top 5-10 material.

In that timeframe the only man who could beat him is holy fighting how he did in the second fight. Bowe should have dominated the division. He'd have sparked a green lewis imo.

Not sure how he does against mike in 96 but it'd have been great whilst it lasted.

That's how good I think bowe should have been. High expectations met with disappointment.

Douglas overachieved imo. He'd have come up short v prime riddick I reckon.

Bowe was considerably better than Douglas and a hell of a lot more consistent.

Douglas...the version that stopped Tyson...would be too much for Bowe..a decision or even a late round stoppage for Buster.

As respectable as Douglas or more probably. Bowe retired with one loss.
