wlad wasn't even motivated for the fight. he was seriously distracted by his wife's health problems. you can tell the difference between this fight and the joshua fight. last year's fight, he came in focused and in shape. and even though he lost, it was one of the best heavy title fights in a LONG time! and he was 40 at the time!

i see where the op is going with this. will fury be this generation's douglas? only time will tell!

I hope he has a better career than McCall for his sake. McCall spent best part of 20 years fighting fringe men after his blubber down vs Lewis.

I'd like to see Fury come back and cement his spot in this era of HW boxing, he's a character and has some real skills. He could certainly do it, if he's not regressed badly in his time off. I don't think at this point, though, that I'd list him as above either Douglas or Rahman in terms of accomplishments.

Wrong again and shows me that you dont have the slightest clue what you are going on about.

I mentioned 4 titles and in my reply to you focused on 3 of the titles mentioned (British, Commonwealth and European).

Now with your stupidity I thought I would let you compare the NABF and title to the European title and see if you can work it out for yourself as to why one would be more respected.

Fury's problem is he is mentally too fragile to show the discipline and work ethic necessary to stay at the #1 position in a competitive sport/career such as boxing.

Wlad in peak condition at age 39? Get out of here

The much faster Wlad of 2008-2012 hammers Fury

Wlad was the oldest out of the three and struggled with a journey man in his previous fight how was he in peak condition? Fury even insisted he would not lose to a 40 year old.
What heavyweight in history was peak condition at 40 years old?
Fury and Joshua have been incredibly overrated by beating a washed up Wladimir .

Yeah. Tyson has an awesome opportunity, in part from his own psychosis. His absence has allowed one or two other hws to stake a claim at greatness. If he beats both, he could fast track himself to ATG top 5 HW status, or better. Or he could flame out as a glorified Spinks.

I like Tyson, crazy nut case that he is, I'm rooting for him. But I could see either of those scenarios, and probably the flame out scenario is much more likely given his mental condition and abuse of his body.

Jesus I'm so sick of the "Wlad not motivated" argument. I don't agree with him a ton, but I recall @Boxed Ears had a great response to that argument(if you care to repost, or you can just make a nonsensical, funny post, either one is cool by me). Wlad went though worse in the past in comparison to that. And he had alot of reason to take Fury seriously. Non biased people like me we're saying it was one of his toughest challenges as a champ,he was smart enough to recognize the style problems.

Yes, it's true, Fury kept cancelling the rematch with Vlad. He had a reason for such, Vlad became inactive waiting...................
Lennox was knocked out cold by Rahman and he was TKO'd by McCall!

Sorry mate, wasn't meant to be a knock on you or your boxing knowledge. Was just trying to say that unlike the other two, Fury will go on to more greatness as his win was down to skill and being the better man not just on the night but in general.

Hands behind the back, joking, laughing and clowning. Completely shut down the offense of his opponent. Carved his face up with jabs. Won 9 of 12 rounds even with a BS point deduction. Never had to get out of first gear. Pure domination.

Not when you've been taking HGH and every other PED under the sun since birth like Wlad did.

Wlad was on better PEDs in 2016 than he was in 2008. Plus he never had speed. He was robotic and slow his whole career. Stop reinventing him. He had average skills, lacked basic fundamentals but was really tall and was allowed to jab, grab and lean. Fury clowns any version of Wlad.

Joshua didn't do sheet. He got dominated and should have been KO'd. Wald being a total ho saved him.

Fury showed ATG skills and exposed Wlads lack of natural boxing ability, mentality, stamina, and fundamentals. Wald lacked all the tools to deal with Fury his whole career. No amount of PED use was ever gonna save him.
