Also, it seems Douglas did even better for himself then it first seemed. I sure as hell didn't know he rode his popularity THIS much in the short time he had the title. Glad to see it, though. Buster deserved it.
Buster had a hell of a ride for a guy who should have melted into obscurity. His own Sega Genesis Game, a spot on Wrestlemania, 3 Belts, and a shitload of cash for taking one punch from Evander. AND Boxing Immortality.
I guess we know what Buster spent his cash from this on then... It's funny how wrestling and boxing has mixed sometimes. You had guys like Ali and Neon Leon in the 70s and 80s, and guys like Buster here and Tyson and Lewis (Summerslam '92) and even Holyfield pop up.
Summerslam '92 was in the UK, Wembly Arena, so the WWF paid Lewis to accompany the British Bulldog to the ring for his main event match against Bret Hart, carrying the flag as far as I remember. Easy money I guess. This was about a couple months before Lewis was due to fight Ruddock.
