I never said Holyfield walks through him. But I think you are also slightly overrating Douglas and are falling into the trap that many people do that Douglas only turned up for 1 fight vs Tyson this is a myth. Douglas went 12-1 between 1986-1990. Douglas was having stand out performances vs Mike Williams during this period where he knocked his opponent down 3 times with a jab. The issue is and was always with Douglas is that he had a suspect temperament/heart. He basically quit vs Tucker when Tucker started landing on him and he gassed and this was Douglas's prime years. And as I pointed out earlier Douglas dominated Tyson but even with Tyson's 1 brief moment of success where he knocked Douglas down. Even then Douglas was thinking about whether he should get up or not, and this was in a fight that Douglas dominated. Douglas is not going to be able to just simply control Holyfield with the jab over 12 rounds without some serious resistance. Holyfield was able to get by Bowe's jab and have success, and even in the 2nd fight vs Lewis...Holyfield found ways to get inside Lewis's jab. And these are both bigger men than Douglas and more highly regarded than him aswell. I simply do not think Douglas has it in him to beat a prime Holyfield over 12 rounds in a tough fight.
