He was indeed removed from his prime, but he was still a damned good heavyweight. He ruled the heavyweight division throughout the 70's.

    5. Mike Williams

    (Other candiate: Tex Cobb)

    Frazier's 5 Best Wins

Frazier didn't lose to Jesse Ferguson or Mike White. He didn't gas against Tony Tucker and he sure as hell did a better job of peeling himself off the mat and charging at a superior opponent than Buster did when they both suffered losses that cost them the championship.

By the way, Headbanger...my v-cash is tied up in various e-bets, so the last point can't be refuted simply by stating that my total is a complete f'n disgrace...

(...You'll have to use my profile view total for that. :good)

You've had 226 profile views in the 8 years you've have been on ESB. That's averaging just 2.4 a month. Where as I get the much more respectable average of 13.5 a month.

:nono Not good enough Drew. You need to troll more :yep

Douglas beating Tyson is considered the greatest sporting upset of all time, not just boxing upset. Frazier beating Ali is not even considered an upset at all, this says it all.

Quarry & especially Bob Foster were very good wins. Buster Mathis and Jimmy Ellis were also top fighters (Ellis had never been knocked Down and Frazier stopped him). I'm not sure who should be the Fifth one but perhaps Stander who KO'ed Earnie Shavers. Beat in mind that Frazier was also an Olympic gold medalist.

People say Frazier is overrated simply because they don't know the names of the fighters he beat - but Joe won against some very good opponents.
