Tokyo Douglas beats Toney. Douglas of that February night in 1990 was a beast, his head and body were strong, he was on a mission, we of course know how things went downhill for him after winning the title, but for that night he would have been a challenge for many great heavyweights.
My disclaimer: James Toney is one of my favorite boxers of all time. Tokyo Douglas' left hand in particular was far too educated. Jab, he could hook off the jab or lead hook, he could turn it over like a cross, he could switch feet and actually turn it into a cross (that's how he knocked out Tyson). One of the openings against Toney is how he defends, as good as he was left hooks specifically can land on him. Douglas was also too big (not necessarily an issue), and on top of being big he was also mobile for a big guy and could hit (an issue). He would beat Toney by lopsided decision. Toney would even have a hard time with the Douglas that got knocked out by Tony Tucker or that beat Oliver Mccall tbh
