How would a fight between a in shape and motivated Douglas and Bowe would play out ?

Buster put on a masterful performance against Tyson. But, that Tyson did not appear to be running on all cylinders.

Best vs. Best, I see Buster gaining an early lead, but getting stopped late by Bowe. Much like Douglas - Tucker, but possibly an even more definitive ending.

Buster was faster, and a more fluid boxer. But, Bowe's immense size and durability (before the wheels fell off for him) see him through the rocky moments.

Agree. I see Bowe getting outboxed, but eventually walking Buster down and getting a late KO or TKO. Bowe KO8.

I'd like to pick against Bowe, but honesty compels me to admit that he is a cut above Douglas, even if that is only due to sheer size.

A repeat of the Golota fights minus the fouling. Decision for Douglas. For what it's worth, I don't think that Bowe, who knocked out Holyfield the previous year, was shot going up against Golota. His terrible footwork and underused jab would always spell him trouble against a big man like Douglas.

That's the kind of outcome I can picture as well. Douglas was a pretty good boxer and Bowe sometimes gave away rounds to slicksters as he did against Tubbs. But James couldn't be counted on to be consistent or stay on track for an entire envening.. And while some may use the Tyson fight to justify picking him, remember that Bowe was a fighter of a totally different style and had size and durability that Tyson didn't.
