    Douglas at his Tokyo best.

Could he win a ten rounder against Marciano?

I don't think he'd last 15, and 12 might be very difficult as well. Marciano would grind him down and I don't think Douglas has the power to do much more than slow Marciano down a little at times.

But how would a ten rounder go?

You certainly cannot rule it out. Douglas was awesome that night.

I tend to think that what puts Marciano above Tyson historicaly is that while less talented he always found a way to close the gap on his Douglases.

    True,

and also keep in mind that Tyson's loss to Douglas came on a night when Mike didn't appear to be 100%, something that wasn't an issue for Rocky, given that he always showed up to fight.

I don't think Mike was too far off from his best. There was a gap, sure, but it's not like comparing the Joe Louis that fought Marciano to his prime self. Tyson wasn't a shell of what he had been.

    Flakey, sure. Shot, no.

Rocky would KO Buster. If Tyson had been in shape he would have done it too, Tyson knocked him down but didnt have anything left to finish him off.

Rocky beats the stuffing out of Buster, but the inspired Douglas takes the beating like a man.

One of the hardest punchers in history, determined, relentless, iron chin, incredible stamina, a ton of heart and great 1 punch KO power. vs decent jab, long reach, has some pop, decent speed, very determined, decent chin, and decent footwork.

    Figure it out.

Ya, they should always just do a Tale of the Tape instead of having actual fights.

Yeah..but the difference is Douglas was fantastic boxer the nite he fought Tyson. The Guy looked like the 2nd coming of Ali that nite. Marciano would have had no chance due to his lack of skills and size.
