The end of round 2. Douglas throws right hand, Tucker looks hurt and goes to the canvas a moment later. Mills Lane rules it a slip and doesn't start the count. Your thoughts? Was it a legit KD or just a bad position of legs?

Take a look at 10:53, then at 11:15

I'm not sure Big guy but I reckon there's a case for a genuine kd .Its s little hard to tell but it looked as if Buster connected .If it had happendearlier on in the round ,could have had a better idea
seeing how Tucker carried on. But you watch this and it makes u realize how good Buster was for a big guy .

Slip. He was lucky he didn't get injured.

Thought so too. This one could have stopped him from moving in the ring.

The foot slipping all the way off the ring apron was quite perilous.

No knockdown. He stepped his foot onto the ring apron and it slipped.
It didn't seem like that last step was at all a result of the punch he took. In fact, it looks like that step back was to set up a counter he was about to throw .... then he slipped.

Pretty hard to tell for sure, but, I think it is a slip.

    Underrated fight.

Both of these men are far superior boxers to ANY of the so called champions over the last few years.

Tucker probably should have been in contention by late 82/ early 83, if he didn't go through the managerial problems he had.

Douglas had masterful skills. Great combination punching and uppercuts for a big man. Too bad he was mentally a bit short, he could have accomplished a lot more.

But then he would have been in Kings stable and his interests would not have been looked out for. He was still fresh in 87 unlike many others who burned out fighting a series of tough fights against each other.

    I really liked Tucker.
When you see the skills of these 2 and other so called under achievers from the era compared to the dross I've just watched tonight ( Pulev v H Fury).
