For it being one of the ten best heavyweight jabs of all time?

We saw him knock down Mike Williams something like three times with weak looking jabs, we saw it totally dominate Tyson over the course of their fight, and he knocked a fighter out cold with it early in his career.

    Thoughts?

Well, Sonny Liston had a terribly powerful jab, and Larry Holmes had a precise jab.

But yes, Buster Douglas jab has to rank in the top-twenty, at least, considering what he could (and sometimes would) do with it.

Any lesser known heavyweight jabs fit into a top 20 list that come to mind, Matador?

Good question. Just recently, I would say Wladmir Klitschko, simply because he dominated Ibragimov with the jab alone (a boring performance, but effective).

Otherwise, I would say Hasim Rahman's was alright, not top-twenty, but worth consideration.

Lennox Lewis jab was great, but he isn't "lesser known", I don't think.

Michael Moorer!!! Jackpot!!! He had a fine jab, and he was a southpaw. :hey

Douglas had a great jab. Long, fast, and powerful it was one of the most complete jabs in history. Top ten for sure in my opinion.

Moorer could of dominated Foreman with that jab Wladimir/Ibragimov style if he opted to fight that kind of fight, in my opinion.

Moorer basically did dominate Foreman for nine rounds, but when he started standing in front of Foreman without throwing punches, he was a sitting duck for Foreman to set up his right hand. :yep

Buster Douglass, such a dark horse, but I saw the Tyson fight recently and he did something with his jab only the better ones can do, and that's adjust it in mid-course. The way Ali could, was most famous for, in the big weight class. The jab starts off, the target moves while its on its way and the jab adjusts; angles, like a sharp turn in the road.

Where Douglas' jab is hurt is by his overall inconsistency as a fighter. When he is on song tho it's a fantastic jab.

I don't know about top ten. If you just talking about jabs, guys like Mercer and Seldon had better jabs than Douglas did. So do Lewis, Klitschko, and Bowe. And that is 5 names without going back too far before getting to the Ali's, Holmes, and Liston's of boxing. Maybe top 20 for Buster.

Douglas was great vs Tyson, but he was only great on that night. I've seen some of Douglas before.

The only jabs I would put above Douglas without hesitation is Liston, Ali, Holmes. Lewis I would put above Douglas as well but other than those, Douglas has a jab as good as anyone. Klitschkos jab doesn't have near the speed of Douglas and while I am impressed by the under rated speed and power of Seldons, it's not Douglas.

Douglas always had a great jab, he just didn't always train right.

I don't know if a top 10 list of jabs can truly be made honestly. Of course, there are some such as Holmes, Ali, Liston and W. Klitschko's jabs that stand out as being exceptional, but beyond a select few it get's difficult. Douglas definately had a great left jab though. No question about it.
