He began his comeback against Tony LaRosa. The video here includes footage of Douglas shortly after he had been 400 pounds and hospitalized due to diabetes related issues. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf1Y-ILd8HI[/ame] Does anyone remember if there was any hype or interest in Buster's comeback, six years after Holyfield stopped him? What were people saying at the time.
Actually he wasnt welcomed back by he fans. They boo'd him and didnt take him seriously. People didnt understand what he came from to compete again, just remembered his tank job against Holyfield. I was rooting for Douglas and was very happy for him coming back from a diabetic coma to compete with a top 25 level guy in Lavarre. His chin and footwork were shot though. He couldnt take a solid shot from anyone without getting seriously hurt.
