MANNY Pacquiao’s commitments for endorsements and the two movies he is shooting have put him behind schedule in his training for a possible November fight.
Instead, Pacquiao is sending adviser Mike Koncz to Los Angeles to meet with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who will be at the “Latin Fury 10” to host the final news conference luncheon for the featured event.
The Latin Fury 10 featured undefeated Top 5 super welterweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (39-0-1, 29 KOs) and his opponent Jason Lehoullier (21-1-1,8 KOs), as well as undefeated no. 1 super featherweight contender Urbano Antillon (26-0, 19 KOs) and Top 10 contender Miguel Acosta (25-9-2, 19 KOs), for the World Boxing Association interim lightweight title. Antillon blasted Pacquiao’s younger brother Bobby in one round,
Arum is returning from a month-long vacation from England, Israel and Italy and is expected to finalize details of a Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto World Boxing Organization welterweight championship fight at the MGM Grand on Nov. 14.
While abroad, Arum has been in touch with Pacquiao and Koncz regarding the details of the Cotto fight, the offer of which was hand-carried by Koncz to the Pacman after a meeting with the Top Rank chief n Las Vegas.
In what has been construed as an effort to virtually undermine the planned Pacquiao-Cotto fight, Golden Boy Promotions’ Shane Mosley has recently offered to come down to 140 pounds to fight Pacquiao.
But Koncz said it’s not the weight so much that matters, it’s the financial rewards and he believes Pacquiao-Cotto will do much better than a Pacquiao-Mosley fight. The only issue that has delayed the finalization of the contract is the weight of Cotto, with the Puerto Rican insisting on fighting at a catch-weight of 145 pounds, while the Pacquiao camp had wanted 143-144.

hmm says... I'm sure that movie he's making must be really good if he's taking that much committment lol. (I'm thinking not). He still has plenty of time.

He's behind schedule alright, and he has to train earlier and harder because Cotto is not a walk-in-the-park fight.
