Seems that after all this media circus of take it or leave it, with Canelo contacting Jacobs, Golovkin going to Japan, and the ship having sailed, last time offer saloon, etc...the fight got finally made after all.

Was it all just an attention grabber all along?
Were these 2 originally in cahoots to deliver a second fight then devised a media circus to increase the expectations?

    Shocker ! (not...)

Groannn ... so it's finally going down?

I've actually lost interest in this.

But, OK. Let's see how it pans out. I guess the "grudge match" element gives it a bit of interest.

El Pollo and Oscar wanted too much, so they were using Jacobs to put pressure on Golovkin, but Jacobs would not accept 20%! Golovkin was holding out for 45% and it appears he got it. They also wanted a neutral Venue, but did not get it, they also wanted neutral judges and referee, can't get a neutral Boxing Commission in Vegas of course. Oscar owns Vegas, and El Pollo will not fight anywhere else. It appears as if Oscar rigged the judges in the Lomachenko/Linares fight, but Lomachenko fooled Oscar and knocked Linares out! Oscar was really upset about that, his judges could not cheat for him...................their fixed scores did not count thanks to the knockout!!!!!!! By they way, no way was El Pollo going to fight Jacobs, no money in that fight at all.................

I know how scared you are of a Canelo rematch. This news must be devastating to you. My condolences.

Statements like you not wanting the rematch to happen, how you've "lost interest"? You've been vocal how unhappy you are about a rematch happening.

Just admit it, you're groaning because you've dreaded this moment and did not want to see GGG fight Canelo again. You know how dangerous a rematch is to GGG, I know how unhappy this makes you lol. On the other hand, I am thrilled that the rematch is happening. I can't wait.

I can't imagine how any true boxing fan could have lost interest in this rivalry. We've been debating the scoring of the first fight for months, nothing gets the competitive juices flowing like another Canelo Golovkin battle. We're 3 months away from seeing these guys go at it again !

This is a great fight. I'm very excited for it too. This is for MW supremacy, and if Canelo comes out victorious it will make the MW division even more interesting with highly talented young fighters like Charlo, Andrade, Derevyanchenko, Saunders, Jacobs and Canelo and any new comers from Jr MW like Lil Charlo, Munguia fighting each other in the next few years.

I can see GGG fans not wanting this fight in fears of GGG losing his 0 to Canelo. I personally am obviously rooting for Canelo but may the better fighter that night get the win.

    September can't come fast enough.

Yeah, after CLENelo has been revealed to be on the sauce and after HE pulled out of the fight and after all of Golovkin's actual obligations like defending his IBF belt piled up. This is dragging on for too long.

 You're too invested in this dude. Golovkin beat him clearly the first time and he'll do so again.

    Commission good, eh?

Yes I'm excited to see whether:

    1) Canelo gets to juice again
    2) Canelo gets custom handwraps again
    3) Canelo gets special judges again
    4) Canelo gets any extra advantage in addition to the usual

You KNOW Alvarez will have all those going in. I’m really kinda surprised GGG is taking this fight with Clenelo his his SLEAZY ****ing promoter. Maybe all the bs has motivated GGG like never before.

And when they realized that GGG already had a deal with Saunders, they had no other choice than giving Golovkin what he wanted. Loeffler and GGG outsmarted fishnet and Clenelo.
