That is for all you morons who think amateur achievements mean nothing. As I've said before, 'amateur' and 'professional' are misnomers in the sport of boxing. Rigo made Donaire look like the literal 'amateur' in there, Donaire was off balance, throwing wild punches, missing everything and looking beaten up by the end of the fight. It wasn't even competitive, a so called p4p fighter getting dominated by an 11 fight 'pro'. I expect to go through the same **** when Lomachenko goes pro, even though Lomachenko has even more of a 'pro' style than Rigondeaux. You people DKSAB :hat
If Rigondeaux truly is the greatest amateur of all time he would probably be an exception not the norm.
He's a different fighter, he is more naturally pro like in his style than Rigondeaux, and his skillset at amateur level was comparable to Rigondeaux, though I think Rigo was slightly better. He's not more skilled, but he as skilled in the way he fights IMO, but it's not like the way Rigo fights at all.
No you spastic, he's fighting in the WSB until his contract expires in May, then he's turning pro in the US with Golden Boy or Top Rank. It's not a secret, he's repeatedly said it and it's been repeated on here ad nauseum. Pay attention you dope
No, I absolutely know Lomachenko is more skilled than Rigo. Lomachenko fights with a pro style and still managed a statistically superior amateur career than Rigo. Only 1 loss in almost 400 fights, Rigo collected 12 losses in a game that suited his style more. Rigo is a master on the outside, Lomachenko is a master at inside and mid range as well.
Glad someone made this thread. The amount of stupid you hear in this place is staggering. Brb amateur and pro are practically 2 diff sports. Brb comparing amateur and pro is like comparing flag football to football. Brb LOL AMATEURS DONT PUNCH FOR KNOCKOUTS. As if amateur fighters dont have 12-15 rd gym wars. As if the sport is still not fist fighting for christs sake.
:deal It's mostly the US posters I've noticed, but that wouldn't have anything to do with their complete lack of success in the amateurs would it...
