Rigondeaux is more polished and dynamic, but Lomachenko is more complete. Both will be dominant.

And yes, the amateur game is (was) different from the pros, but when you reach a certain level there you've mastered boxing for the most part. 300-400 fights and by that time you're really at a level many world champion pros never even reach.

A 100-200 fight amateur might still have holes in their game, but at the amount of high-level fights that ATG amateurs have, you really are a top boxer and would compete with anyone in the world.

    :rofl

That's right, you're the guy who thinks all steroids/supplements/peds are just placebos and have no positive effect on elite athletes.

Fighting top ranked amateurs is better than tomato cans.

No I said that there is very limited SCIENTIFIC evidence, and if there was then there would be limited application in a hybrid sport that isn't purely aerobic or anaerobic like boxing is. I've studied these things at a post grad level and I work with elite athletes so I don't know what you're laughing about, you're just making yourself look stupid.
If you think Conte of all people is knowledgable enough about physiology to provide an advantage to Donaire then you're making yourself look a fool even further. Conte is completely uneducated (not even an undergrad degree, he's a failed musician) and if anything he hindered Donaire with the hypoxia mask due to his complete lack of understanding how altitude affects physiology. Conte is a salesman who took the fall for BALCO and now tries to peddle ZMA supplements that have been shown conclusively by independent researchers to have no benefits to athletes. Conte uses masks and talks about monitoring blood levels but that's just an image thing, he doesn't have any idea about what he's doing. He's there to scam people and make money, he's not credible or helpful in anyway. It's a shame Donaire didn't lose him sooner.

That's the magnesium, it helps you sleep if you're deficient from your diet. No use paying big dollars for ZMA when you can buy magnesium for cheap by itself. The claims of increased testosterone/recovery etc. are what have been proven false. Zinc and magnesium are good general supplements but they're not going to provide an athletic advantage unless you have a very poor diet. Once your levels are normal you may as well throw your tablets out.

Loma has more inside/toe to toe skills. Rigo wants to control at long distance pot shotting.

    Excellent post.

When you're the best it anything it will show. Fighters that go into amateurs and invest in winning, rather than improving can still develop bad habits. How many slappers and pit pat fighters do we have because they ignoring punching technique fundamentals because it doesn't score any better than a quick slap. Emmanuel Steward and many others addressed this phenomenon in boxing as of late.

But maybe it's wrong to blame the amateurs. Maybe it's just the lack of trainers and knowledge nowadays. Many of the top-level amateurs like Rigo, Lomenchko, & Golovkin are actually impressive punchers.
