In twenty years when people talk Mayweather and his greatness/legacy, this line will be heard often. And for good reason too. No one will give a **** about why the fight DIDN'T happen in 20 years, or whose fault it was. The only thing that will matter is that it didn't, and it hurts both fighters greatly, Mayweather more so.
in 20 years both sets of fans will call the other a ***** for refusing to get into the ring they should just put aside thier differences, get in the ****ing ring and we'll find out once and for all who's the #1 P4P King
But Sugar Ray Robinson didn't fight Burley but Leonard didn't fight Pryor but Hagler didn't fight Spinks but this thread sucks
burley loss to guys who weren't as good as robinson.... leonard had bigger fish to fry than pryor.... hagler wasn't in the same division as spinks... pac would get beat the way gatti did....
Mayweather will NEVER fight Pacquiao.. Lets not even bring it up! In 20 years, I still dont wanna hear about this! Manny already won by default! / Thread... It's over!
At this point I'd much rather see him take on Martinez than a guy who can't even beat Marquez convincingly in three attempts.
It may be unfair but the media will indeed remember Floyd not fighting Pac instead of the other way around. Casual boxing fans wouldnt even know who Arum was 20 years from now and hows He's as guilty as anyone.
Yeah, he never fought Mayweather. It hurts Pac too. I'm not in either camp by a long shot, just pointing out what I see. The reason it hurts Mayweather more is that as history goes along he will be regarded as the better fighter. The better fighter not fighting his biggest threat looks worse than a lesser fighter not stepping up, REGARDLESS OF HOW IT HAPPENED.
