But I thought Joe Joyce had an all time chin?

Deep trouble ? Joshua briefly hurt Usyk with a body shot and then Usyk comeback in the next round and hammered Joshua.

I think you need to rethink hour definition of "in deep trouble" because that's certainly not what I would call in deep trouble.

Chisora show heart here for sure. I dont expect he has enough health to win this fight.
Still think Joyce show not best performance. He is to slow and too heavy.
    Both dont win wit
Who said he dont comeback? That's same story as Fury fight. Because Usyk got ultra good recovery ability.

And Yes that was deep trouble. Normally he dont pray whole pause for strenght to God with eyes closed even dont listening to corner.

I don’t consider what happened in this fight to be a flash knockdown.

He ended up flat on his back. If it was a flash knockdown, he’d have been on the seat of his pants grinning at being caught with his pants down, so to speak, and popped up at 1 or 2.

He may not have been chicken-dance wobbly and woozy but he was knocked down and not just because he half-slipped or was caught with a glancing blow off-balance. He had to walk it off, showed no sign of being ready to continue til the full 8-count finished.

Zhang is a savage puncher. I don’t base it just on the Joyce fights. He put Parker down with a glancing blow.
To question Zhang’s power is idiotic at this point.

Haha, yeah. The narrative is just getting funnier. Old Chisora now is dropping him.
People just like to pick their stories. For instance if Fury had been dropped by Chisora, we'd never stop hearing about how bad his chin is because Chisora isn't a KO artist.

I think Joyce has good chin Zhang is a huge guy and hits like a truck. He has that Foreman like power where he doesn't seem to be putting alot of effort into his punches but can hurt you with literally glancing blows.

Chisora was landing solid punches on Joyce all night literally head snapping punches and Joyce kept coming forward. And even the knockdown I think Joyce was caught square on and he got up straight away and actually finished the round stronger.

I do think people went a bit OTT with Joyce's chin though hes not indestructible like some people were claiming on here. But he still has a good chin the problem is though hes slow and is too easy to hit, and when he comes up against a big puncher his durability can only last so long.

Joe took about a 100 loaded up, clean haymakers to the head from Chisora and only got hurt by 1. But somehow that means his chin isn't still great? Come on.

To think this fight proves that Zhang's power is overrated is nonsense. Zhang took him out in 3 rounds.

Im no fan of Joyce and his plodding ,limited fight style but he certainly has one of the best chins in the business. He did go down but at no point was he ever in trouble or badly hurt and Chisora can bang with the best heavyweights

Not so much the chin, which is excellent, but the all-round package...

    Joyce was simply massively overhyped.

It's not necessarily a case of his durability being limited, though he's human and can only take so much - it's also that he's not pleasing on the eye and that means he has to be super dominant to get decisions.

The combination of a way above average chin and decent power meant he could trade his way to a win, one way or another, most of the time.

Bring up a guy like Chisora who's always been pretty solid with accumulation and also hits hard, whilst also looking a lot more active - and if you're Joyce you really wouldn't want to be seeing the final bell without getting a KD or two.

I didn't think this would go the distance - I underestimated the durability of both at this stage... I'm glad Chisora won, though, he deserves to win a close fight after getting decisions against in close fights in the past.

To be fair Wilder is a shell of himself now so it's certainly a winnable fight for Joyce.

To be fair, I think their's reason to believe his durability was eroded before the Zhang bout. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. With that defense, the accumulative damage comes up sooner or later.

Zhang is literally a TOP 3 ALL TIME puncher at heavyweight.

He is southpaw, is FAST, 300 pounds and he times his punches. You cannot let a man like that hit you. Parker is lucky his own chin is iron and he survived Zhang. Joyce couldn't evade him. Fury & Usyk would box him up very carefully. AJ would find a way to get chinned by him. He is no joke. Joyce still has a great iron chin.
