Might have slipped under the radar with the Crolla and Khan fights but the show went ahead in Edinburgh last night and what a quality fight it was. Butcher made a strong start and hurt Essomba in the 2nd at the end of the round. Action packed and neither fighter took a step back. Finished 97-94 in favour of Butcher. Originally pencilled in as a Commonwealth title fight, it got changed to a ten rounder as Butcher can't make the weight any more. I'll post the highlights once I've had the chance to sort out all the videos, in the meantime I'll put some of the interviews from last night. Now Butcher makes the move to super-flyweight a fight with Jamie Conlan could definitely be one down the road.

It was close mate, no doubting that. But even Essomba's promoter said he had no complaints with the decision.
Would have to see the fight back... I was sitting ringside right in front of Essomba's fans so couldn't concentrate all that much lol.
