He is a very easy target to hit and once he gets hits he lunges in and holds. I think Taylor would beat him easy as watching him tonight. And Kessler would take him out also. When he throws combos his hands drop really low. A great counter puncher would have a field day on him. Ps I am from canada
The question now, is whether Bute's handlers decide to mollycoddle him for the next few fights. He got the win tonight but his confidence is surely shaken up at being KO'd right at the end. Maybe he'll give Andrade a rematch but truthfully, I see him fighting someone outside the top 10 after this. Hope i'm wrong.
Yeah that was maybe the wrong way to discribe it. I've never thought of him as a particularly durable guy. And he doesn;t have what I would consider a better then average chin. What I should say is that he doesn't protect his chin that well and all though he is extremely slick and elusive, when he does get his are it's often with his hands down moving into/away from the opponent. I feel that anyone who can counter him will be able to hurt him often. Moreover the fact that he keeps his hands so low means that once he gets tired he's much more likely to eat big shots then someone with a better style. Meaning that if he wants to stay on top he'll have to fight in a way which seriously minimizes the damage. I guess that saying that "he takes a punch like a *****" wasnt the best way to describe my point but dude I'm trying to multi task here.
I think Bute is really good, but I feel bad defending him or hi skill on a night like this. So sad the injustice that happened to Librado Andrade. Just really sad. Sad for boxing and boxing fans around the world.
In quebec he's liked a lot but not hyped. In the rest of Canada nobody knows who he is. Jean-Pascal...now thats hyped.
