I always thought Bute was a quality boxer. Tonight was his first real measuring stick to see where he belonged in relation to the other top fighters at 168. His chin seemed to hold up well but he obviously needs to work on his stamina. If he stopped the excessive holding, it might help a bit. 168 is a beast of a division!
Bute is a very good fighter. Even after this robbery, I still say he's one of the best in the division. Andrade really got robbed, but c'mon you can't deny the brilliance Bute showed us in the first 11 rounds of that fight. I was really impressed with his ring generalship. I mean aside from the 12th round, he rarely got trapped in the ropes. He was pretty good at clinching and rolling off away from the ropes whenever he's about to get trapped in there. He also has pretty good movement around the ring, not to mention he has very good handspeed and combos and was fairly accurate. He was easily outboxing Andrade. The only flaw I've noticed in his style is that he ALWAYS keeps his left hand VERY low which a very good-to-elite fighter could easily exploit. Other than that, he's an impressive young fighter. Lets not get carried away of what happened and use that as a way to downplay Bute as a fighter
