if one guy is going to play rough...then the other guy needs to know how to give it back. i like both guys but have not seen any indication that lucian knows how to play rough. i'd give the edge to ward. both very skilled guys but ward is cut more from the hopkins mold.

Will be Calzaghe-Hopkins except with Calzaghe being 10x better.

Depends massively on location. Neutral territory I'd favour Bute

    Bute wins by T/KO.
If Ward uses his head first style he walks into an uppercut, and if Ward uses his push and clinch style he most certainly takes one early on. He would have to adapt his style to Bute, so he's in trouble where ever this fight would be held.

Ward is, smarter, more athletic, has the better high-level experience and the better amateur pedigree.

I mean, he's better in all categories with the sole exception of power?

    Ward schools the overrated Romanian.

Please tell me why that's so impossible? Because it should be calling 18 (by this point) voters ******ed.
Is Ward so much better in your opinion, does he have such a great chin or is it stylewise Bute can't (T)KO him?
I have already given my reason why I expect Bute to stop him, so what's yours making it impossible or highly, highly unlikely?

It is possible, but not if the Bute from last night shows up. Ward would have beaten that version of Bute fairly clearly, I think. It was the worst performance by Bute since Tatevosyan.

    Fight in Butes town =Bute

Fight in Oakland= Ward (only way for Bute to win is KO)

Regardless, i see it as a close (HOPKINS CALZAGHE) type of fight. Ward does not have the power to Ko Bute

I'll take Ward by decision. The main thing I like about him is that he's so versatile - he can beat you on the inside, outside, moving forwards or backwards. Ward also knows how to win - I get the impression that he will always find a way.

Bute has developed into a very good fighter but I think Ward gets inside, roughs him up and wins a clear decision. If Ward wins the Super 6, this fight has to happen - if neither guy is willing to leave his home town to make it happen, I'll lose a lot of respect for both.

You pick Ward (the one who beat your man) and you think you are objective?
Come on, be honest. You are a Kessler nuthanger and that's why you see Ward bigger than he is.
