Bute: Against Froch and Gracev I fought with a injured left hand

Bute got the surgery above his eye for a reason. As such, he got this surgery as well.

The way I look at it, he's getting his problems fixed so there will be no excuses. He wants to perform at 100%.

Nothing wrong with that, as much as it sucks for the fans, he is doing this for the fans!

But you came on and took your medicine well and seemed to become much more open to other possibilities after the Froch fight.
I'm going to let you into a secret here which I happen to know is a fact and I apologise to Magic for breaking a confidence.(sorry Magic)

Magic doesn't hate Bute or Bute fans,but there was a time when a select few were very difficult indeed(and I'm sure many felt the same about me and others) with a real superiority complex(e.g,"Bute fans are the most respected on the forum") and when people were claiming he was a #5 or #6 P4Pr,it was only going to go one way if he lost.
I enjoyed the fun myself,and have come to make some good forum friends through it all,but before the Froch fight was announced,there was real vitriol going both ways.
I've even been accused of lying about my real feelings about Bute because I want to be friends with people.(FDJ I think it was)
Trust me,if I didn't like the guy I wouldn't pretend I did.There are plenty of other subjects on the general that back this up.
The Froch fight was a ****** off my back because I never really had a smidgeon of dislike for the guy,and was able to say so once the battle was over.
I knew and said that it wouldn't be as much fun after the fight,but at least we can sometimes have a balanced discussion about things now,and TBF,and although I feel Bute is just too easy of a target now and actually feel a bit sorry for some of his fans(in a respectful way) you can't blame some people for continuing to gloat,just as decent fans should stand by their guy( like I've done with Ricky Burns for years) and defend him.
It's just the nature of the forum.And Magic isn't the horrible guy some here think.He was having a laugh and it went both ways.He got plenty of vitriol back.
