Apparently, it will be announce today.

Québec City is a beautiful city. The Colisée Pepsi is not as nice as the Bell Center tho.

since i didn't get the Pac vs Cotto tickets like i wanted to initially, I will definately go to this one. The first one was amazing. This time I'm gonna get as close as possible.

A Quebec site (RDS) announced it officially. The press conference will be this afternoon at 14h00. The ambiance should be great in the Colisee but it is an old place. I'll try to get a very good ticket.

The old city is marvelous and is quite big.
The rest looks like any suburb.

Hmm, should be a great fight. It brings a bit more value to the fighters outside the Super Six to hold the IBF title. I'm sure the winner of the Super Six will fight whoever owns the IBF ater the tourney is done.

Especially if the winner of Bute-Andrade II fights against Pavlik.

That's the ticket right there. I'm reasonably confident that Bute will win another decision over Librado. This time there won't be any controversey.

I also think PWilly bit off a whole lot more than he can chew. In my opinion he is about to become #8 on the list of guys who had never been stopped until they got Pavlikated.

You may recall that I have always said Pavlik should fight a southpaw a whole lot better than Bronco McKart before he tangles with Bute. Well, Williams is a pretty decent southpaw!

Bute and Pavlik should both take a routine fight next spring. Maybe a 164# catchweight affair for KP. After that, square off next fall. The winner of that will have just as much claim to the #1 spot at 168 as the tourney winner. The Pavlik-Bute winner against the tourney winner would be HUGE!

The only thing that bothers me about this scenario is that I really like the Bute fans on ESB, but the time will come when I will have no choice but to declare WAR!!:yep

No better time than right now to declare WAR to anybody that ventures in the same ring as Lucian Bute....

He is the next unified SMW Champion of the Word and will have no problems fighting eighter Pavlik or the winner of that so called tournament of the best SMW..... let me laugh, we all know that the only plausible outcome is Kessler vs Bute.

    Now, that's a war....

Until then, let's continue to enjoy the insight that everyone brings from both side!!! :good

Anyhow, it's not like it's a 100% probability of victory for either Bute and Pavlik. Let's see them fight on October 3th and November 28th and afterward (if they both win), we'll start opposing facts, similarities, skills and weaknesses.

William Detloff call it for Williams because of his activity being too much for Pavlik. Has Pavlik ever face someone with as many punches per round?:huh

Well, that's really a topic for another thread, but quite a few people have the rather absurd notion that PW can beat Pav based on his work rate.

    1) In spite of his height Williams makes a small middleweight. Pavlik eats small aggressive fighters at 160.

    2) In the very first round of Pavlik/Miranda KP threw 97 punches while Miranda, who hits like a Mac truck, threw 94 back at him. If Williams tries to do his normal, hyper aggressive thing, this fight won't last 5 rounds. That's just not the way to beat Pavlik.

Back on topic: If either Bute or Pavlik could take the WBO strap away from Balzsay before the end of the tourney, that would up the ante considerably.
