Golden Boy Promotions’ bid of $1,211,000 beat the $1,195,000 of InterBox, giving the Los Angeles-based promotional powerhouse the right to promote the mandatory defense of IBF super middleweight champion Lucien Bute against Librado Andrade. Bute, who won the first fight on points after controversial ending, will get 75% ($908,250). The bout could land on the September 19 undercard of Mayweather-Marquez in Las Vegas.

Wow what a fantastic undercard....that might even be better than the Mayweather-Marquez main event.

Good, sounds like we'll get a neutral location for Bute to show off in a tough fight. Hopefully HBO gets this fight but Showtime will do. Showtime basically owns the Super Middleweight division now.

Best card of the year, even if the third- and fourth-billed TV bouts are Julio Ler vs. Jorge Arce II and Dirrell-Stevens II.

I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't on the Mayweather-JMM undercard. Putting on good ppv shows isn't what most promoters are up to lately. This would make the ppv worth buying if it does end up on that show.

No chance it's on the undercard. That fight is an easy sell out in Montreal. Golden Boy will put it there.

Makes sense to put in Montreal...but a fight in the U.S on that undercard is probably better for Bute in the long run.

As all of you are indicating, tremendous propers would be in order for GBP should they make this the co-feature for Mayweather/Marquez. However, the best course is probably one of measured skepticism when it comes to De la Hoya's firm actually spending money on the undercard of a big PPV.
