That's his job, they all have to check the other fighter to see if he is in the corner.Nady usually counts with his back at the downed fighter

Yes, you can say the ref gave Bute 20 second to recover with his long count and telling Andrade to get into the corner. If you count the seconds it took for Bute to get up, he was up before 10. I don't think the ref would've stopped the fight anyway since the fighter got up. The amount of time Bute was given to recover was wrong but the ref has to maintain control of the fight. Andrade did go from his corner to a neutral corner but Andrade started walking to center ring and then was told to get back in the corner by the ref. It is a judgement call. Had the ref just counted to 8 or 9, and never had to speak to Andrade, it is a judgement call. Many refs would stop a fight like that. Myself, I would not. When a fighter gets up from a brutal knockdown, he deserves a chance to hold on by clinching for victory, or be finished. You saw how Chico reacted when his father stopped the fight against Mayweather, and that was Chico's dad stopping the fight and not some other cornermen. Chico went ballistic lol. Chico did not want anyone to take that choice from him and said let me finish, be finished or keep on trucking to get the victory regardless of the situation him as he snapped on his dad.

He gave time to recover?Andrade gave him time, the time it takes the ref to talk to Andrade stops the count,it doesn't matter in the count. The fight was over.

Horrible fail thunder:yep My point is Andrade was well enough in the corner. 99 out of 100 other refs would agree with me. Just because this fight involves one of your favorite fighters doesnt mean you have to abandon you normally decent sense of logic:good

He was focusing omn the well being of Bute. He told Andrade to get into the corner so he would just dart out from center ring and land a big punch. Why do you think that rule was made? Ask Gene Tunney and Jack Dempsey's kin for details.

Replay show Andrade was pretty much out and was taking a step towards the middle of the ring then the ref saw him but yes it's up to the ref to decide.

There are fans who think Andrade was in the neutral corner, and others who think he was not. Facts are the ref delayed the count. He was right in the rules by telling Andrade to get in the corner, but wrong to fans as he gave Bute more time to recover. The bell CAN'T save the fighter at the end of the final round. The bell doesn't go ding, fight over even if a fighter is down or hurt real bad. the fighter still has to get up and be judged. When the bell can save you, all you have to do is get up even if you are wobbly.

THe words "pretty much" and "towards" tell me that your splitting hairs. You know goddamn well Andrade was perfectly fine where he was. Lets dare to think about other fights where a KD occurred, and the other fighter was much closer to the center of the ring than Andrade was

He was closer to the middle of the ring than the corner and was walking toward the middle, the ref could or could have told him.Doesn't really matter, the fight was over

Lets say you are right lol...it is still a judgement call. The fight is in Canada. Do you think the ref stops the fight without controversey??? lol...I seriously doubt it. You should know considering you are German(4th Reich), and Germany has robbed many a fighter as some posters have posted lol...
