Looks like Bute won't fight in Romania this summer after all. The economic and financial problems in the country has put his title defense originally schedule for July on the back burner.

No idea who's going to fight. Probably Brinkley. But I'd be surprised if HBO accepts to telecast that fight.

Apparently there's also Bika & Mendy fighting in an IBF title eliminator. I've no idea WTF is going on with that. Brinkley was named the mandatory challenger just a few weeks ago. This ABC **** is confusing. lol

They tried to make the unification with Stieglitz this summer but he wanted no part of it.

They offered him a 7 figure payday and he turned it down (2 or 3 times).

Stieglitz claimed he suffers from an hand injury from his last fight and couldnt get into good shape until the 24th july date in Romania afair.
Maybe HBO will buy that fight if it takes place in the U.S. and Stieglitz accepts the fight on a later date in case he was actually injured.

Another split sight event with Pavlik/Bika in AC and Bute/Brinkley in Montreal would make a nice card. There is enough name recognition with those 4 fighters that HBO might go for that.

Personally I think Brinkley deserves his shot. He's a hard working and TV freindly guy. He won a legit eliminator that he was suppose to lose. He has won 9 straight with 5 by KO/TKO. A couple years ago Zuniga and Miranda would have tore his head off. Today I think he would beat both. If he'll stop dropping his right hand when he works the jab, he has a good chance of putting in some decent rounds with Lucian. Give the man his ****ing title shot!

Now -- what about Pavlik/Bika? Please! Try to convince me this ain't fan freindly! I dare ya!

HBO should try to put this together.

That's right. Brinkley earned the shot.
Bika v Pavlik would be hellacious. Someone's going to sleep in that fight.
Someone mentioned Dawson above. I don't think any of the Super 6 or Bute or Pavlik want any part of him.
