    I know he lost to Ward but he also beat Froch in his fight after and won Frochs WBC title

    It's a well known fact that Kessler sat on that offer until another opportunity, i.e. the unhazardous Robert Steiglitz, presented itself. Blame the failure to make the fight on Kessler's insecurities which he sublimated into risk management to save face.

    In view of the facts, the haters are destroyed and left with no credibility. I feel sorry for them.

    Think about it as a business decision. In Kessler's case, it doesn't apply 'cause he got the title right after. But if you think about your question, would Bute do it.

    He's got two choices really;

    1-Go and make 750K + PPV revenues.
    2-Not go and make zip or 50K against a can.

    If he choses 1 and wins, his next fights, he'll have the bargaining power.

    If he takes 2... well, we know how that would end up.

    Or he could fight Stieglitz and gain bargaining power.

    That's true, but he dont need a dangerous fighter like Bute to make that kind of dough. Especially not when Bute, even as the homefighter, is set to take the lions share of the pie.

    Answer me this: Would Bute fight Kessler in Copenhagen for 750K+ canadian PPV? Wouldn't you consider that a lowball offer? Be honest.

    I have some sympathy for Bute.
    Pavlik has pulled out, thats not Butes fault. He is left with little else in his division.
    Froch/Ward tied up, Kessler/Steiglitz tied up. Dirrell isnt fighting, Johnson is coming off a loss.

    Who at SMW is Bute to fight?

    Ok. It's still more then what he'd get for Stieglitz.

    how will kessler have bargaining power by getting a worthless wbo strap, when the same piece of crap strap wouldnt even bargain enough for a fight in the belt holders own hometown??
