Bute cannot compete with Super Six contestants

Froch is the only guy in the super 6 that deserves to be ahead of Bute. Ward's afraid to fight out of his hometown and had much more trouble with Miranda and Bika than Bute, on top of that Bute has Andrade x2...what does Ward have besides Kessler with an unfair advantage and headbutting over Bute? Bute will beat Wards ass, Froch vs Bute would be quality. Ward has fought no one either. In fact the only legit resumes at Super Middle belong to Froch and Kessler and there's ain;t too much better than Bute's.

 

The big problem in here with resume. It's that when a fighter get beaten he usually then he is view as a hype job, shot fighter, etc. So then what's the value of this win over a hype job, shot fighter, etc.

For exemple Froch beat Abraham, and easily so. So now, Abraham is shot, should go back in 160 and even then dont have too much future. In all fairness Froch should be proud of his big victory and as fans we should recognize this good victory. But now the same fans just made this victory look almost laughable. And now the "resume" of Froch is not so good anymore. BUT at the time of the fight it was suppose to be a war and a good fight and we all marveled at the S6 "making the best fighting the best".

One thing I learned on this board and every fight we can see it happening: "your only as good as your last fight". So for now people could look at the big picture and say "OMG Bute cant compete with them". When those same fighters will be beaten (by Bute or anybody else) they will fall in the eyes of those same short seeing people.

 

Don't get it twisted, Bute is not in the tournament for the same reason as when it began, he is very dangerous, and experienced, has shown he can overcome adversity and is a great competitor. Chin questions remain I give you that, and don't get me wrong I know where you are coming from.

 

Well, its good for you to think so and not abandon your favorite fighter for one lost.

Agreed for the most part. If the Danish article that says the winner of Bute-Kessler would face the S6 winner while the losers would also meet... I think Kessler-Froch 2 would be another FOTY candidate. Don't wanna see Ward-Kessler 2 for Kessler's sake however he seems to want that to happen at some point, and as you said Bute-Froch would be a GREAT fight.

Whatever happens, the fans win. :bbb
