Ask Chris Henry what it was like to fight Diaconu in Romania.

Exactly. Bute and his team won me over completely, would love to see him take on some top super-middleweight and get back to winning ways.

lets face it... bute has already comeback brilliantly after a KO "defeat" with andrade and that corrupt ass refereee.

other fighters too can comeback. one thing is for sure, if the fight is in bucharest expect a much more hostile atmosphere for the cobra - and expect bute to get a huge life....he's got shaky whiskers but he has a big heart and the crowd could inspire him

Maybe he thinks he should rematch Froch even if he thinks Froch would still be the favourite... and I would agree.

Honestly, I see the same result, but I could maybe see Bute extending the fight a few rounds. . . and maybe picking up some rounds, and landing some clean shots on froch along the way. . . However, I think eventually Bute will get stung with a punch, retreat to the ropes, and get flurried out.

I concur with others here.. I am all for Bute having the chance to regain the title and to regain standing by beating Froch. But to do so as his next fight would be rash given the nature of the defeat he suffered. In all likelihood Bute would be ALREADY beaten mentally going into a rematch with Froch, he needs first to work on his defence and rebuild his confidence.

If this does happen soon I can only see one winner; Froch. Bute's career would be over at the top level permanently.

Personally despite what he may say now, a couple of days after the fight, I think in all likelihood he won't be calling for a rematch this year with any seriousness.

There are a lot of things Bute can do to make the next fight competitive. It starts with keeping his hands up, and circling the right direction. Add not trying to outslug Froch and simply out boxing him and you have a recipie for a solid pts win or at the least a close decision, since the rematch will be in Canada.

I'm elated that the Bute-Dirrell bandwagon is growing, one poster at a time. :!:

Bute-Froch reminded me a bit of Hearns-Hagler. In fact Bute's in a class/model of fighters like Thomas Hearns, Khan, and Linares, great offensive capability but they show an occassional fragile chin. Sometimes those guys can take some really hard shots pretty well and other times they go to sleep. I expect 'when' the rematch happens, Bute well perform much better knowing now what he can't get away with.

If Bute's confidence is shaken, I don't think having a mover with good pop like Andre Dirrell would be a good fight this year for Bute, but Anthony Dirrell-Bute might make alot of sense for team Bute. Showtime will be more than happy to accomodate the Haymon fighter, and Anthony will be coming off a layoff with his motorcycle accident.
