Bute-Froch "rejected" over at Showtime. Bute vs -- predictions?

    You said the same thing on the scene , Nelson. What's your bet for Bute's next opponent? Farias , Don George , Allan Green , Les Sherrington etc

    I have no idea what's going on here. Could be a powerstruggle between Showtime and HBO.

    Worst case would be Bute against anyone but Froch, Ward or Kessler. Andre Dirrell might be ok, but still somewhat dissapointing.

    I fear Bute will be outmanuevered and forcefed another clubfighter. Still I have a hard time believing Showtime rejected this matchup.

    Indeed there is a war between SHO and HBO. But that still doesn't explain why Foch vs. Bute can't happen. What kind of weird contract did Bute and Froch signed with SHO?

    As showtime want an american opponent for Bootay then they should get Andre Dirrell or....

    Kelly Pavlik??? Is he still popular stateside?

    Former middleweight champ on the comeback trail etc...would that sell?

    That's exactly what the thread is about. It was a cover-up tactic the OP used to find out if Dirrell outboxes Bute or not. Hell, we all want to know that. Thanks for sharing it with us. The thread may close now.

    You are probably right. Unfortunately.

    I have less faith in Pascal staying relevant, and near the top of his division than I do Bute. Which probably means, they will be milking Pascal until then. I can't imagine Pascal taking on top guys for the next 2 years and not getting a loss or 2, which would seriously tarnish the luster on any potential Bute fight.

    Showtime really thru a wrench into our plans. What are they thinking?
