Bute-Ward Common Opponents (Sakio Bika, Edison Miranda)

Bute easily destroyed Miranda in 3 rounds.

Ward excessively clinched, fouled and cheated his way to a boring lackluster decision over Miranda.

Bute dominated Bika in impressive fashion.

Ward struggled against Bika, excessively clinched, fouled and cheated his way to yet another boring lackluster decision.

Bute did way better against Miranda and Bika than Ward did.

Bute-Froch Common Opponents (Glen Johnson, Brian Magee)

Bute dominated Johnson, won by lopsided UD: 120-108, 120-108, 109-109

Froch struggled against Johnson, won by MD: 117-111, 116-112, 114-114

Bute TKO10 Magee: Bute won every round, dropped Magee several times.

    Froch KO11 Magee: 97-92, 96-95, 95-94

Bute did way better against Johnson and Magee than Froch did.

Lucian Bute is the best super middleweight in the world. He has dominated every opponent he has ever faced and has made 9 consecutive title defenses.

I can't wait till Bute destroys Froch. He will beat Froch more impressively than Ward did.

Bute would annihilate Ward. Hopefully Ward grows a pair and stops ducking Bute.

If Ward was fully white, he'd be your favorite fighter

To be fair, Magee did actually give Bute some trouble early on. . . Not as much trouble as he gave Froch, but he definitely won some early rounds. . Magee is actually one of the most underrated, and unknown boxers out there. . . He's better than a journeyman, but not quite world class. . I'd pick him over guys like Abraham, Groves, and Stieglitz. . .

Also, while Froch did struggle some with Johnson, he still pretty clearly won that fight. . Thought he actually looked good as a boxer in that fight. . . Fought off the backfoot with the jab well, counterpunching even when getting drilled by those Johnson overhand rights. . . . (That dropped, and KO'd Green).

As much as I think Ward wants to swerve Bute, I really do think Ward would beat Bute. . He's more of a complete fighter. . Bute might be better at certain things than Ward, but all around Ward is much more complete. . . I think he'd make it an ugly fight, burrow down on the inside against Bute for periods of each round, and do enough to win majority of the rounds.

I like how he skipped the part where Bute got a 13 second count, when ANDRADE knocked the crap out of him.

The difference between Ward/Froch and Lucian Bute is that Ward/Froch have taken the next step and tested themselves with elite competition. Regardless of how long we sit here and play the common opponent game Bute has NEVER taken the next step.

Has Lucian Bute preformed more impressively with some of the B-Level competition than Ward and Froch.....sure he has..but you're leaving out one important fact. Ward has faced Froch and Kessler, Froch has faced almost everyone.

Lucian Bute has had some impressive performances but his Body work as it relates to elite level competition isn't their, and you can spin it either way you want, but he's been taking soft match ups. Until he faces Froch and Ward I can't rank him that high...I don't care how impressive he looked beating whatever Journeymen that Froch and Ward faced.

WARD is the Super 6 champion and the WBC and WBA Champ !

Bute has been champ since 07 ..The only names he has on his resume up until this point is Glen Johnson Andrade ..

Now fighting Froch who Ward already beat !

WARD IS THE BEST SMW on the planet ! Deal with it !
