I think BHop was just crying for a while. He and Schaefer sat together at the Khan fight so it looks like they settled their differences.

If it's in Montreal, there's gonna be five time the people you would find in the States for that fight, making it a bigger money venue for both fighter.

If the deal goes through, it's gonna be the best experience so far for Bute and an excellent preparation for Andre Ward.

Pointless fight for Bute, if he wins he wont get much credit for it.

BS. Would be a nice win and a nice name on his card even with the age.

I think its a great name but many who dislike Bute will cite Hopkins age and go on about why didnt Bute fight him earlier or something.

yeah but would beating brinkley be worth more then beating hopkins?
i doubt it. face facts bute's resume is not going to get much better while the super 6 is on.

You would put Godzilla in front of Bute and if he wins, they would still have something to say against the IBF champion.:patsch

I think Bute can learn a thing or two by fighting Hopkins. And he get's more credit than fighting Bika or Stieglietz etc

Bute's all wrong for Hopkins. Fast hands, decent power, fairly quick feet, likes to use angles. Hopkins at his MW prime (just before and up to beating Tito) would give Bute a nightmare, but Hopkins doesn't have the engine to keep Bute thinking now.

I'd rather he'd retired on the back of the excellent Pavlik win and ridden off into the sunset.
