Now, Interbox is suing Showtime to air the fight. I just wish they'd sign a two fight deal, giving Bute this fight against Froch in UK, then making it worth Bute's time to fight Dirrel in Windsor. I say Windsor b/c Interbox could promote it there, and it would still be on Dirrels home turf.

It's really the best scenario for all parties involved, but Showtime is being the stickler here. B/C is Froch is somehow able to win, they wold be forced to air the rematch from Canada, and be no closer to Bute fighting Dirrel, who after Ward's next bout will be their only big american SMW.:rofl

loose the bold and the coloured letters dude,it hurt my eyes.
    - I never said Ward didn't won fair that tournament even tho he should have lost by DQ the Kessler fight, but he would have made it to semifinal anyway.
    - Green,Bika or Abraham are not better competition than Magee or Mendy,in fact Magee is more acomplished fighter than all of them at 168.
    - Ward once travelled to Carlson,California and another time to Atlantic City and now he needs some welcome home fights?really?he never left, why does he need an welcome home fight?
    - Froch had his fights away from home and had them with all the original fighters, not with clowns like Green or Bika and he doesn't need a brake, how's that for a warrior?
    - Ward doesn't need to fight his mando if he fights for another belt.So if he choose to fight Bute it will be fine by both WBA and WBC,but he wants Magee.

Lucian Bute had a fight against Sakio Bika in 2007 , and he did much, much better than Ward did !!
Sakio Bika is an underrated fighter which lacks of a good trainer !!
If you'll watch that Ward vs Bika fight you will see that Ward struggles against him !

Ward he's the WBC,WBA,The Ring & s6 champ and he's in the posture to choose with

    and

he has to fight ! Now he has to defend his belts against decent mandatories !!

Lucian Bute could be a highly risk for Ward , so a possible loss won't be good for the business ! :yep

I don't know about that. The whole purpose of this fight is to determine who the best 168 pounder of the era is. I don't see the reason for this fight at 175. I wouldn't mind it, but I just don't see the need to move it up. After they fight at 168, then I could see 1, the other or both moving up.

Sakio Bika is overrated if anything... His only accomplishments so far in his career is to have been somewhat competetive while clearly losing in 3 title fights. I would be hard pressed to pick a B-level fighter among his wins. He is classic gatekeeper at SMW.

Lucky for him this is BOXING and not a PSI measurement sport.

    BOXING, which he mastered.

Ward relies on his interior defense and in and out movement to be effective. His power is enough to keep his opponents honest for the most part, and I doubt his style would be less effective at LHW. And judging from the current crop of LHWs, I would venture to say that he'd be most troubled by similarly young and athletic guys like Cloud and Pascal than he would be by bangem up guys like Cleverly and Dawson.
