Why the UK? It's Bute's belt **** Froch have him come to USA or even Canada, Why should it be on his turf and not the champs?

    According to Dan.......

    • Although their deal isn't completed yet, super middleweight titlist Lucian Bute (30-0, 24 KOs) and former titleholder Carl Froch (28-2, 20 KOs), the runner-up in the Super Six World Boxing Classic, had another aspect of their proposed showdown fall into place this week when the IBF made Froch the mandatory challenger for Bute, Froch promoter Eddie Hearn announced. The sides have talked about a two-fight home-and-away deal under which Bute would defend his title against Froch in Montreal and then go to Froch's hometown of Nottingham, England, for a rematch. However, the Froch camp is hopeful that the series will begin with the first fight in England. "I'm delighted that Carl has been installed as the mandatory for Lucian Bute's next bout," Hearn said. "Positive discussions have been ongoing with [Bute promoter] InterBox since the Super Six final [on Dec. 17], and we hope to get this fight made. It is Carl's dream to have his next fight in the U.K., and that is something very important to both of us. After recent discussions, I believe we can bring Lucian here in May, and we will be happy to give him the rematch in Canada once Carl has taken the IBF title from him." Unresolved, however, is Showtime's involvement. It has Bute under contract for one more fight, but the network isn't interested in the Bute-Froch fight, going so far as to give him permission to shop the bout elsewhere, including HBO, which was also not interested.

    more likely :

    Spring

    Kessler-Stieglitz (Copenhagen)
    Bute-Froch (Nottingham)
    Ward-rest in Oakland

    Summer

    Kessler-Abraham (Copenhagen)
Bute-one of the Dirrells (Quebec City)
    Ward-Magee (Oakland)

    Winter

Megafight for Ward: either Mendy or Pablo Farias
    Bute - the other Dirrell
    Froch-Kessler (Notthingham)

Bute has been in hiding in Canada his damn near entire career. Froch has spent the last 2 years away from home fighting the best @ 168. Froch deserves a home fight, and Bute needs to fight in someone else's backyard for ONCE to gain more credibility should he win.

If Bute wants to call himself a world champion, then he needs to defend his title anywhere, not just at home. This is the opportunity he and his fans have been craving.

I reserve my joy untill the fight is actually signed, but the tweet was a fine move from Bute to put some pressure on his promotor.

I think this fight gets made now. If not someone ****s up Real bad. I like that the fight looks like being in Nottingham. Froch deserves that bit IMO and should Bute win, he'd have put tremendous pressure on Ward.

I can hardly believe that neither Showtime nor HBO will pick it up. It's one of the best matchups in boxing today. Fireworks guaranteed.

This fight should be held at the 02 areana or wembly not in Notingham !! If Bute doesn't want to get treated like Dirrell he should demand somewhere else with nutral judges !

I wonder if Ward would answer back by fighting Kessler in Denmark with major dough on the line.
