Bute's promoter Interbox offered Stieglitz's team 500,000$ and all the German Tv rights. Thinking that the Romanian Tv rights for Bute-Miranda have been 116,000€ (150,000$) and for Bute-Brinkley 100,000€(130,000$), not knowing at what prices the German Tv channels are buying the Tv Airing rights for Stieglitz's fights , and considering that this is a big unification bout I'm gonna assume the minimum is to be around 200,000$. So I'm asking you is 700,000$ a fair offer ? And what amount of money will make Stieglitz to change his answer from No to Yes.

I would be happy if some of our German friends can help us with some numbers from the German Televisions.

So a IBF-WBO unification at SMW it's only possible if Stieglitz loses his belt at his next mandatory?
    Probably one of these guys:
    Andre Dirrell
    Jean Paul Mendy
    Renan St. Juste (NABO)
    James DeGale

    Karoly Balzsay

This is a good post but its two posts in 1

First point is that Steiglitz wont fight Bute , or is reluctant to lose his title and get his ass handed to him by Bute :deal

2nd point is , you are clearly trying to make Bute look semi ok in that his team are trying to secure semi lucrative fights at least !!!

I like Bute and i have no time for most German fighters , Steiglitz is a joke like Sturm and Ottke , but Bute has to start fighting named opponents , id love to know what was put on the table by Di Bella to team Bute for a Martinez fight ..........................

I'm not sure but I think that the german deal, at least for Sauerland, is for a number of cards per year at a fixed amount. The german stars are usually paid very well. I know that Felix Sturm made 1.2M euros for his defense against no-hoper Sato.

Stieglitz should get less than that but I'd reckon he'd get more than half for a standard defense.

So I don't think there's a chance for Bute to get Stieglitz in the ring. He can make a good living fighting clubfighters in Germany Ottke style.

EDIT: I can see that a german poster said 250K euros. I would have thought he earned more, but still not bad.

Steiglitz will remain in Europe for Frank Warren to line up Degale with.

They should make a seperate unification here:-
    Dirrell vs Steiglitz (WBO)
    Bute vs Taylor/Sartison/Green..... (IBF)

    then:
    Ward vs Abraham (WBA)
    Froch vs Johnson (WBC)

The winners of the two tournaments fight each other and you get the main man in the divisions.

I can't see this fights happens.

Stieglitz's promoter SES-Boxing had financial problems before Stieglitz won the belt vs Balzsay in an big upset now everything is fine and Stieglitz has a tv contract with german TV channel sat1.
2010 was the big breakthrough for SES.

Stieglitz is a brave guy maybe the bravest of the german boxers but i
can't see them risk their belt against an in nearly very category superior fighter like Bute at least not in the next 1,5 years.

Stieglitz has no chance vs Bute

There was never an offer by DiBella, as far as I know. In fact, it is Martinez who turned Bute down, because Martinez said he was loyal to HBO and didn't want to fight on Showtime. Bute has a contract with Showtime, so he can't fight on HBO. I don't blame Martinez to stick with HBO, but the only way that fight is made is if Martinez agrees to fight on Showtime.

You saw what happened to Green right? He has no right to fight Bute and he would get stopped in five.
And you got to be shitting me on the Taylor fight. He has been getting Knocked out on a regular basis by Power punchers. He had many hard fights, then met with Pavlik. Later Froch and right after that Abraham. You really think the man should suffer a third consecutive KO?
