Bute-Johnson: 76 rounds of sparring so far

    Bute updated his "blog". He said he and Glen have done 76 rounds of sparring so far.

    He said they still have 18 rounds of sparring to go before Johnson leaves camp for his fight against Chad Dawson next week.

    If Johnson can get through that fight with no injury he'll come back and help Bute finalize his preparation for the Andrade rematch.

    The same goes vice versa also. It's actually funny that they've both found incredibly good sparring in each other based on who their opponents are going to be. Interesting. I'm also cheering for both of these guys in their upcoming fights. I thought Johnson should have got the nod in his first bout with Dawson.

    If they were in Montreal I would have gone to the gym myself and shoot videos for you guys but unfortunately the sparring is happening 1600 miles away in Florida.

    Bute is good for Johnson and Johnson is good for Bute.

    This is a really great choice of partners for both men, and it will benifit them both more than anyone else.

    Bute is fast, great boxer, this should help Johnson at lot. I wish Johnson lots of luck and am sorry he was cheated out of a win last time.

    Glen is one of the most endearing boxers of our times. Who could not love a face like that. Sometimes, you want to pinch him to make sure he's real.

    The worst part of it is that a Quebec city reporter went to the training camp and wrote several papers on Bute and Johnson. He forgot to film it. Damn! Those old reporters just don't know how much life has changed. :bart
