Froch has taken Butes SOUL Just like BHOP took pavliks Expect Bute to become a wondering romanian drunkard in a town near you
Bute really didn't convince many people with that did he? It may be jumping the gun a bit to say he's done but he's definitely lost something. For years he oozed confidence and looked so comfortable in the ring. Froch has shattered that belief and now Bute looks a ghost of himself. He's obviously still got mental demons over the defeat. His team can't allow him to fight Froch again as soon as March, it would be a suicidal move. He needs a massive rebuilding job, needs to have some more fights (I'd say about 3 or 4) against some tough operators to get his confidence back before he thinks about going in with big boys like Froch again. The Grachev bout was just the start, he needs more time if he's to ever truly recover. If Bute fought Froch next it would be another massacre, his team must surely be smart enough to know this.
His confidence has definitely gone, he looks scared to take a punch and he still lays on the ropes far too long, im sorry cos Butes a real nice guy but he aint never winning a world title again.
Watched it last night and if Gratchev had gotten closer to Bute earlier in the fight it could have been a loss very easily. I think it was the 8th or 9th where he really caught Bute consistantly a bigger puncher like er Froch would have had Bute over me thinks. He still looks suprised when he gets hit and his defence is awful. The pretty awful candian commentary made one good point in that Bute was moving around an awful lot which could be detriemental in future fights he certainlty wasnt comfortable with the pressure he was being put under. He had a big 12 round but i still have doubts against the best in the world. He did hold on a little his did try and spin out of trouble but he took a lot of shots through out the fight and his punch out was low.... Froch KO7
How was he 'shot' in the Froch fight. Shot from what, a hard training camp? a 12 round workout against old man Johnson? Bashing his hands too hard against Brian Magee's ribs? He wasn't shot in the Froch fight. He was overwhelmed. Froch was an animal that night. He did look a different man in the Grachev fight though. He looked poor. Very lacklustre and unwilling to stand in the pocket and engage until the last round. The Froch fight has definitely taken something out of him. I did like him in the last round though.
