Even in the middle of the night, the Danish TV rights would have been superior to the Canadian ones. It is small money over here. The US TV rights don't exist, the fight is on Showtime.

I'm waiting for some numbers from Kessler. He's talking **** without backing it up.

The worst part is that Kessler did say all of those... Most of his fans are saying a lot more sense in saying stuff like "Kessler made a business decision" or "I think neither side wanted the fight to really happened at this time" and such. In essence most of Kessler fans dont try to put it on Bute if the fight dont happen.

 

Seems like you have to go through two sessions of negos with Sauerland. In SES' case, it's their second time around listening to Sauerland's proposal. In January this year, SES declined 500K Eur for a June fight. Now Stieglitz is making what, about 3 times that? (didn't make the conversion)

Who's to say a '500K Eur like' proposition from Interbox would not have been followed by a substantially higher one? Bute needs Kessler to finally bring a big name to Montreal, assuming the one paper belt is what it's all about in regards to home turf advantage (this isn't the S6!). Kessler needs Stieglitz' belt and doesn't necessarily need Bute's, in order for him to please Showtime with a belt to throw in the pot as part of an eventual bypass of Bute straight to the S6 winner. But no, that's evil thoughts. Kessler's a good guy, he can't be planning this sh1t out.

Whatever. Can't wait till Showtime actually forces a Bute-Kessler fight in the US - Bute hasn't faced big enough names on PPV, and with the contract extension SHO will want their money's worth.

I don't have any problem with Kessler , his a real warrior and a good guy. The one i got problem with it his promoter , Sauerland isn't the guy i thrust the most!

 

i believe as many do that does words come from sauerland mouth. look at interviews with both kessler and sauerland present and look at kesslers expression sometime when sauerland affirms thing that are not his personal toughts.

 

I never said in any of my post ever, that Bute's offer was a great offer, all I said was it's the start of a negotiation process. I said it numerous times on this thread, I dont know why your trying to lie as it's pretty easy to go look at my post in this thread and see it...

At the very least, Kessler look bad, so why do you come back at this?

Let's go back to facts:

1- Interbox indeed send an offer
2- Kessler's team refuse it without giving any counter offer
3- Kessler's team prepare Kessler to a righty fight even before answering Bute's team about their offer
4- Kessler's team pay 80% of the purse to Steiglitz in their fights. So if Kessler get 1M$ Steiglitz get 4M$.

So we cant know for sure of what happened, who says the truth and all, but as I said Kessler look bad in the better case and his team duck Bute in the worst case.

 

that is why showtime will make winner of s6 vs bute next. they already did kessler vs ward and kessler vs froch,ward vs froch is coming so why bother sign bute and pay him top $ if not to put him in the ring with the winner of s6. kessler vs winner of s6 is ilogical at this point,kessler is taking that belt for future negotiations.

 

no one said interbox made a great offer,just a couple of dreamers saing it was 3 mil.it was not,that one is clear.but it is call a negotiation..you don't like what you get you ask for more,you don't turn around and flee.johnson was given half of what he is getting at the first call..who can say interbox would not have double the deal for kessler too?

 

Mostly true, but if Froch wins, a rematch with Kessler becomes quite logical wouldn't you say?

I daresay that Froch, being the warrior that he is, would want to avenge his defeat to Kessler. In fact, I'd say that would be the route he would choose first, and post the fight, there was a "gentleman's agreement" to rematch, I believe.

Not what Bute fans want to hear I suspect, but I could see this playing out, if Froch was to win. Regardless, it would still leave Bute to face Ward, so that's a great clash anyway.
