I-Box trying to get this accreditation for the Marsh 19th fight! Since Brian Magee his no 2 in the WBC rankings there's a good chance that it will be accepted!

If the WBC agree and Bute win the Silver belt it could lead to a Froch-Bute fight , without Bute loosing his IBF belt , since the IBF got a rule concerning unification fight!

Are both the WBC & WBA belts supposed to be at stake in the S6 final? Bute is facing the winner anyway, I thought all belts would then be at stake... for the overall winner to feast on Stieglitz and become lineal champ. I highly doubt that Bute gets to fight Froch in a unification bout before the end of the S6, if that's what you were implying.

Look at how far Chavez Jr got with his silver belt... he's not facing Martinez anytime soon, at least not before the last quarter of 2011.

I think that Bute will drop his IBF belt if they force him to face Mendy. If he has the WBC silver belt, he's in line to regain a belt fast. Of course, if he wins against the super 6 winner, he'll have some more.

I think the IBF should be really stupid to force Bute to drop the belt with no1 as marketable as him left in the super-middleweight division. Maybe Kessler... but in the long run Bute is still better financially for them, and Kessler is still injured, you never know what's gonna happen.
Right now Bute has an excuse to refuse Mendy but if another eliminator is gonna take place and Mendy is going to win it...

Sorry if i wan't clear enough i had a call while making my thread!

If Bute fight for the WBC silver belt the IBF have to push back his mandatory (Mendy) without penalise him! if i undterstood corectly!

By the way did you guys figured out this is a Showtime thing. Forcing Froch to fight Bute if Froch wins the S6. Because he has always talked about Pascal, never about Bute , in contradiction with Ward who always said the winner needs to fight Bute.

Hey did I got it right: IBF has given Bute 2 fights off before he would be forced to fight Mendy? And the only way to get out of fighting Mendy is to go for a unification bout ?

Because Froch showed no intention to fight Bute if he wins the s6. Actually he said repeatedly that he wants Pascal. Showtime promised Bute that he will fight the best, once they'll be available.
