Ok, it does have credibility as a very good tournament, but it is lacking credibility most definitely, because it promotes itself as a tournament bringing together THE best 6 (now 7) SMWs in the world with a view of finding THE very best and crowning an undisputed Champion. Thus, as a tournament designed to pit the very best against each other to crown an undisputed champion, it has NO credibility, clearly. Is it a good thing that some of the best are fighting each other? Yes, definitely. Would it have been better if the very best would have fought each other instead? I'll let you answer that...
Like I said in my previous post, I understand where you are coming from. Of course it would be better if the best fought the best and I am sure they will eventually. I really can't see anyone outside of the tourney beating Bute, so I am afraid we are going to have to wait to judge Bute more efficiently, but he is obviously one of the best in the division. However, I will find it hard to label Bute number one until he fights someone worthy of being crowned with that mantle. I am not blaming Bute for that by the way, it's just how things have conspired.
Shut your hating ass up!:verysad Styles make fights you dumb****! Do you ever say **** that has to do with reality?? We dont live in your clouded world you inbreeded ****!
Andrade and Miranda are no top-fighters in this division. If Bute wants to be on top he has to face top-fighters.
He's funny this Paul dude. People forget quickly. Abraham absolutely destroyed Miranda as well... Now Miranda is some kind of force at SMW? He's not even won a single significant fight at SMW. He lost to Abraham, he lost to Ward and now he has lost to Bute. The guy was always overrated...
Bute is doing his part in making himself the guy that the winner of the Super Six has to fight. Ko's over Andrade and Mirnada are nice wins and he's looked good in diong so. But there is no question that winning the Super Six is more impressive than anything Bute can do outside of the tournament. Bute is going to have to keep doing what he's been doing just to be the number to guy when the tournament is over because whoever wins the Super Six is almost without a doubt the top guy at 168.
What if the eventual winner has a loss to a guy that doesn't even make it into the last four and then barely scrapes by in his next two fights? And what if Bute beats Stieglitz very impressively and then does very well against Hopkins and Dawson (win or lose)? It's not cut in stone at all that the eventual winner of the Super Seven will have has more impressive performances.
