Looks like HBO wants to put Bute's next fight versus the Super Six on April 17th.

Bute's people have been saying that they will take a close look at the Stieglitz-Miranda fight taking place on January 9th.

My guess? HBO will market the Bute-Miranda fight as a unification bout in an effort to discredit the Super Six. Bute is ranked no.1 by Ring Magazine and the winner of that fight would be the only unified champion in the division.

Of course, for all this to happen. Miranda has to win the title against Stieglitz in Germany in 2 weeks.

Meanwhile, Bute's team is still trying to make a fight with Pavlik.

Bute turned down a place in the tournement and wanted silly money to fight froch.

Wow, Miranda is getting gifted with another title shot, eh? HBO should really just wait for the end of the Super 6, IMO. They could offer the winner a big money fight & benefit from the tournament that their only major competitor put together.:hat

1- Bute was never invited to take place in the tournament.

2- Bute was more then happy with the money that was being offered to fight Froch and he was willing to go to England for the fight. He had a choice to make and he decided he wanted to close the Andrade chapter before starting a new one.

bute had his chance he cashed himself out of the froch fight and then was offered to fight kessler and claimed he was'nt ready and then chose to have a rematch with andrade instead of fight in the super 6.

he's only got himself to blame.

im pretty sure abraham will win the super 6 and i bet you bute wont fight him.

good fighter bute but the man does ***** out of fights a bit.

mirandas got little left in the tank and steiglitz is fairly poor but good enough to win a decision on home turf against miranda so expect bute to face the winner, will this man ever leave montreal?

Stieglitz is a pretty solid fighter. HBO should not look past him and already make plans for Miranda. Miranda could get knocked out here.

Wrong facts from start to end. Is it a mess like this in your head? You must be knew to boxing and you're just repeating what you read in the British forum. How is it to be a parrot? Like the biscuits?

    1) Read Maxime's post on Bute-Froch (just before your post)
    2) Froch refused many years ago to fight Bute for the IBF mandatory spot. Is he a *****?
    3) Bute never received an offer to fight Kessler, he only said he wasn't ready yet. That's a long time ago and anyway, Kessler was not available to fight Bute. Kessler was healing his hand after the Calzaghe fight.
    4) There is not a single ***** in the top 20 of the SMW because they are all professionnal boxers and you cannot be one if you're a *****.

I agree with you. For me, Stieglitz is the favourite in this fight.

    Agreed.

His style and a bit of German homcooking should be enough.

Not that he would be a bad opponnet for april since he has a belt and has fought on HBO before.

we'll see what pantera has when he fights Stieglitz. edison is under new managment but we really werent able to see much in his last fight since it lasted one round (possible rabbit punch??) edison's flaws are apparent but his strenghts are still there. he got iced by two guys who make their living putting people to sleep. you don't have a glass jaw simply b/c pavlik and aa knocked you out b/c they knock everyone out.

bute seemed content to circle andrade in their last fight and just wait for him to come in(that left was a thing of beauty). we've seen miranda beaten by pressure w/ pav and by a dancer in ward. bute would probably leave edison in a heap. andrade started to land in the last fight but he had to go through hell to get to him and i don't know if edison can take that kind of punishment to do it. but if he somehow can, it will be interesting to see how bute deals w/ it b/c edison can still bang.

Usually, Bute is cautious at the beginning of a fight, until he knows what distance to keep and how he can manage with his opponent's power. He didn't have to do this in the rematch because he already had all the answers. He chose to go for the early knock out, that's what he said after the fight. Against Miranda, who is a banger, he would be cautious but still would land good hits which would make Miranda think and go backward a little. Zuniga, who usually goes forward, was not against Bute. I see the same thing happening against Miranda.

well, he looked great against andrade. all we know about edison is he can still punch and we all know that just won't cut it against lucian.

I'm really not sure about the chance of Miranda to get that belt out of Germany!

I hope he can , I'm pretty sure Bute won't struggle againsn't a guy like Miranda!
