I agree with both of you but there's always those lunatics that asked for the biggest fight every time a fighter comes to the ring. There's too much circumstances involved in the making of a fight to have the best fight available each time. Bute and Miranda (if he wins) on the same card to build an unification fight seems logical at the moment. But who to you put against Bute and Miranda in that card?:huh

Green for Bute since Miranda already beat him... Not sure about Miranda. You won't have two title fights like that on the same card though.

Come on now. How can you label it the Sauerland Six when 3 fighters are from the States and have influential promoters themselves, and the other guy Froch has nothing to do with Sauerland.

Pavlik wasn't invited because he's a Middleweight who has shown little desire thus far to go up to 168lbs permanently. And I seriously doubt Sauerland would have been concerned had Bute been invited. He was coming off a very controversial win over Andrade when the Super Six was announced.

All this makes sense, my question is after Bute beats the Stieglitz/Miranda winner then what?

you have some 168 guys like Balzsay, Green, Inkin, Bika (who he already beat)

Pavlik - would be interesting to see it happen but is terrible move for Pavlik as i imagine he'd get beat soundly.

I also would like to see Pavlik stay at 160 and defend the next 2 years against the young talent Sturm, Pirog, Golovkin, Jacobs, Korobov and get a Williams fight

What's left for Bute? possible Dawson, Pascal fights>?

Miranda can be nothing more than a tune up fight. Bute really has to step up the level of his competition as best he can while the super six is going one. Fighting a guy who has lost several times to fighters int he super six is not a way to do it.

Oh, my, you have jumped off the deep end this time.

Where's your evidence for this accusation?

You believe that America-based Showtime -- the true power broker in this deal -- is going to conspire with Sauerland to screw over its love buddy Gary Shaw?

And why would anyone in the Super 6 be afraid of Pavlik? If anything, the Europeans should be happy that, like Pavlik, Dawson was not a realistic possibility due to HBO, because IMO he'd be the clear favorite to win it, is a Shaw fighter, and has a big history with Showtime.

But I'm not running around saying Dawson's exclusion was a conspiracy. It just wasn't realistic given the circumstances.

If Pavlik is as good as you say he is, he'll rule 160 for another 12-18 months, then move up and take on the conqueror(s) at 168.

Bute should be focused on Pavlik. If he can't get that fight, where else does he go? He'd be foolish to move up to a catchweight fight against Dawson, as that's one where he'd be a clear underdog.

If Pantera gets past this guy then he probably gets KO'd badly by Bute.

Miranda has to get past Stieglitz first, who is a decent scrapper and certainly more than capable of beating Miranda.

    :huh Why?

He's not ducking anyone because of that. He'll leave Canada when his opponent will have a bigger fan base than him, like a fight with Pavlik at the Madison Square Garden. Right now, he sells tickets like crazy in Montreal and HBO or Showtime are willing to travel there. Plus, the atmosphere at the Bell Centre and the Colisee Pepsi is incredible.
