Pavlik? He would lose against Direll, Kessler, Ward, Froch and Abraham 9 of 10 times.

If he fights in Romania again, it will probably be against someone so-so, simply because if HBO would want to buy the fight, it would also want the fight not to be on tape delay.

Magee in Romania sounds more likely.

I would love to see Bute in Romania but ... Brinkley / Magee . I wold prefer to see him on Tv fighting in germany usa canada wherever he needs to fight for WBO with Stieglitz or the IBO with Bika or a match with those like Pavlik , Hopkins , even Taylor. Something exciting

Two different (reputable) Montreal french media have confirmed this,

Bute to face Miranda, from the article:

"It will be a pleasure for me to come back home to the Bell Centre for the fifth defense of my title. I take Miranda very seriously, he's caused major damage to many big names in the division, he's a formidable puncher and I will have to stay vigilent the whole bout to remain champion." said Lucian Bute.

Bute and his trainer are leaving Quebec for a private isolated 8 week training retreat.

"At the risk of repeating myself, styles make fights, and once again we have a great match up that will cause alot of sparks and give the fans a great fight."

"We chose our opponent very patiently, we had many offers and took the time to study them properly, Stephan (trainer) and me. We want to propose quality events for the fans and that's what we'll get with Miranda coming to Montreal." said Jean Bédard, president of Le Groupe Sportscene inc

I saw something similar, but wasn't sure if the source was credible, so I didn't bring it up.

Lucian Bute vs Edison Miranda Saturday, April 17th at the Bell Centre

Montreal, Wednesday February 3rd, 2010 – IBF Super Middleweight champion Lucian Bute
(25-0-0, 20 KO) will defend his title for the 5th time against notorious power puncher Edison
“Pantera” Miranda (33-4-0, 29 KO) from Colombia on Saturday, April 17th 2010 at the Montreal
Bell Centre. Lucian will be lacing up his gloves in a Montreal ring after not boxing in the City for
over one year. This main event bout will be presented by InterBox in association with Goossen
    Tutor Promotions and Warriors Boxing.

The undefeated champion will be facing the third dangerous Colombian in his professional
career, and intends to dispose of him in spectacular fashion as he did his predecessors. Lucian
captured the IBF Super Middleweight title on October 19th 2007 against Colombian Alejandro
Berrio by way of brutal 11th round stoppage, and scored a 4th round TKO by way of devastating
body shot against the normally very durable Fulgencio Zuniga on “Friday the 13th “of March
    2009.

“It will certainly be a pleasure for me to box again at the Bell Centre and to defend my title for the
5th time in front of my fans. I am taking Miranda very seriously. He demolished many good
fighters and is a notorious puncher. I will have to keep my concentration level on high to stay
    champion” declares Lucian Bute.

Stephan Larouche is already hard at work with his World champion and intends to set up a
closed training camp outside Quebec for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. “Styles make fights. I know
this is a boxing cliché, but it’s the truth! Once again we have two world class athletes with
different styles that when mixed together have all the ingredients to explode. The fans are in for
    a treat!”

“We were patient in our choice of opponent. We received numerous offers and Stephan and I
took the time to study them all. Our goal is to offer boxing fans quality boxing events and we
continue this tradition by bringing into Montreal a world class athlete in Edison Miranda” states
    InterBox president Mr. Jean Bedard.

An experienced boxer in World class fights
Edison “Pantera” Miranda was the first and only boxer to defeat Allan Green (Green replace
Jermain Taylor in the Super Six Tournament) and his 4 defeats came at the hands of the top
rated boxers in the World (Andre Ward, Arthur Abraham twice, and Kelly Pavlik). In his first bout
against Arthur Abraham, in Germany, Edison broke Abraham’s jaw in the fourth round. Many
experts believed the fight should have been stopped and Miranda declared the winner.

What? I believe he would. He is very outboxable. Dirrell and Ward would outbox him based on his style. Kessler and Abraham does everything Pavlik does better and Froch is too determined and would catch him. That is the closest one for me though.

Dirrel would get pressured back into a corner and knocked out.

About the 3rd time Ward threw one of his patented head butts Pavlik would plant a knee in his nuts and an elbow across his face. Fight fire with fire, and Ward would fold up like an accordion.

Kessler? Please show me some video of Kessler spinning an over hand right around into an uppercut, or at least some video of Kessler throwing a lead right/left uppercut combination. If you find the video, we can talk.

Abraham and Pavlik are polar oppisites. Saying Abraham does everything Pavlik does, but does it better, is just non-sense.

Froch is so easy to hit that Pavlik would have a field day. This one would not be competitive.

good to hear, Pantera's gotta come through, as IMO this could be one of his last chances at a big Title fight
